They might have battled and captured them upon defeat, but at the end of the day, these two are the official Players who are participating in the War just like Izayoi, Asuka and You, so even if they wanted to permanently dispose of them, they do not have the Authority required to either kill them or force them to quit the competition. The only thing they could be sure about was that once both of them wake up, they will be able to easily break out of their restraints, since the have been bound with nothing but simple ropes that were not enhanced in any way that would make them capable of sealing the movements of Demigods or Divine or Celestial Spirits.

「Big Bro Iza, that black-haired man right next to Arjuna. . . . is that Krishna?」

「Yeah, that sure is him all right. His name, 「Krishna」 can mean either 「Black」, 「Dark」 or 「Dark Blue」, which indicates that he has been worshipped primarily by the indigenous people of non-Aryan descent, whereas Arjuna, son of Indra, The Strongest God of War in Indian Mythology, was most likely a descendant of the Caucasian Aryans.」

Izayoi spoke about those things with a cold voice. Thankfully, nobody here really knew what him speaking in such a cold tone of voice really entailed, but then. . . .

「Big Bro Iza. I feel like I should say it before it will be too late, but . . . uhm, well. . . . 」

「I know, so you do not have to say anything yourself. You want to say that Arjuna is actually a good guy, right?」

Izayoi laughed, all proud that he managed to see right through Homura’s intentions, which made Homura himself turn his face away from him with a stiffened expression while scratching his head in embarrassment, but Izayoi simply grinned in in his usual cocky way and put his hand on his waist while declaring:

「Rest easy, Homura. As long as I am here as a participating Player, you can be damn sure that no harm is going to come to this guy. We are just going to kisten to what the two of them are going to have to say for themselves once they wake up, and then we are going to release them.」

Everyone present at the site could not believe their ears when they heard what Izayoi said just now, and they had the perfect right to react in this way, because doing so would be counterproductive to all the efforts and preparations and planning that they did in order to come up with a strategy that would allow them to defeat and capture Krishna. Thankfully, they managed to bring him down in a battle to the death without actually killing him and without losing any of their own at the same time, but even so, to claim that they were just going to release him now as if nothing have ever happened. . . .

Asuka glared daggers at Izayoi with her eyes filled with suspicion.

「Now wait just a moment, Izayoi. Surely you jest when you say that we are just going to let him go? You have seen and felt what he is capable of doing firsthand, so you know as well as I do that he is a monster that cannot be allowed to just roam free. If we allow him to do it, the risk of him coming back after us is going to be too great, and I am not going to take that risk.」

「I know that this is not what we originally agreed on when we were formulating the plan, but come on now, realistically speaking, do you really think that it is going to be possible to be keeping someone like Krishna under lock and key? Because after witnessing what he is capable of doing, I honestly do not think that keeping him in custody is going to work.」

Izayoi pointed that out, causing Asuka to fall silent.

If they wanted to keep Krishna under their custody, that would require them to obtain two absolutely essential things: a place where they could keep him locked up without any possibility of breaking free, and people who would constantly keep watch over him, and, to put it plainly, even if finding the place to imprison him in might not be a problem because Little Garden should have more then enough of such locations to go around, then that second requirement would be a real problem due to the personnel shortage that the {No Name} was currently struggling with, and since Asuka was a leader of her own emerging Community now, she could not afford to keep watch over him herself. It might not have been explicitly stated in the Geass Roll that every participating Player received before they have reached Atlantis, but now they were realizing that with the 「Killing the other Players participating in the 2nd War for the Sun’s Authority is prohibited」rule in place, the very act of engaging in any kind of combat or conflict between the Players has been essentially rendered meaningless, because unless you were to battle someone for the Sun Authority they were holding, there was literally nothing for you to gain from fighting other Players except wasting precious time.

「Also, rather than think how to deal with Krishna right now, I think we should be focusing on the two other people that need to be protected from him: Parashurama and that Albino pipsqueak. For the time being, I think that the best thing we can do for them it to arrange for them to be transferred off of this continent as soon as possible.」

「. . . . Yes, definitely. Considering everything that has happened, I agree that this would be the wisest thing to do. After all, since Krishna’s aim is to kill these two, then we should be able to get him off our back and avoid any other conflicts with him further down the line if we stop actively protecting them from him. . . . . ahh, now I see. So that is why you think it should be safe for us to release him for the time being?」

「That is right. That way, we should be able guaranteed the safety of these two, at least for the time being. From this point onward, this should be nothing more than a competition between Players going against each other trying to win the Gift Game.」

「Ohhh. . . . ! Now that is a statement that I can definitely get behind! After all, when it comes to games and other kinds of competitions, they are the best when the rivalry in them is fair and square without the use of any kind of cheats or cheap tricks! I think that it would be great if all of the Players could agree with that and do the same thing!」

Suzuka proclaimed that happily while raising her hand with great enthusiasm. After all, since she was the only one of the entire crew with the sensibilities and common sense the closest to that of an average human being, it would still feel barbaric if she had to fight and hurt her opponents in real battle, so as long as there was an opportunity to resolve the Game’s conflicts in a non-combative way, keeping it all sportsmanlike so that no one would have to get hurt, she was all for it.

Then, Kasukabe You folded her hands in her chest and thought about something for a moment before a light bulb lit itself up over her head, indicating that he apparently remembered something.

「By the way, I think that Shiroyasha might have said something similar just before the Game started.」

「Shiroyasha? What about her? What did she say?」

「If it is about something that she said right before the Game commenced, then I am afraid that me and Miss Rich Lady are kinda out of the loop here because we were not there when she was announcing it. So, care to fill us in on what exactly did she say?」
