「Koa-san, a counterattack is coming! Turn around to avoid it!」

When the giant dragon’s head opened its jaws, it spewed out a ball of flame that was incomparable to the flash from earlier. Although You and her companion avoided it by turning quickly, the fireball that was spat towards them dyed the hills where it landed red and caused a great deal of flames to consume the surroundings.

The dragon’s head opened its huge jaw and began to prepare for the second shot almost immediately after the first one.

The Players who were fighting on the ground used the gust of wind to jump high and cut the necks of the giants with their blades.

Asuka gasps at the situation and regains her own fighting spirit.

The other Players were astonished at first sight, but they quickly understood the situation and went back to their original goal of subjugating the giants. They clearly are all battle-hardened warriors who have crossed the line between life and death countless times to stand here where they are now.

The Primordial Dragon Quetzacoatl was also the first Divine Beast that Kasukabe You imitated with her Gift when she was in the weapon Yoh Kasukabe imitated in Vampire’s Sky Fortress.

However, since up until now all she was capable of doing with her 『Genome Tree』was to imitate it, then how in the world did she managed to properly summon the Primordial Dragon himself this time?!

Primordial Dragons are the type of beasts that can be categorized as Divine Spirits, but other than that they are also genuinely the second strongest type of species in the entire Little Garden. They are not the type of being whose main bodies can be summoned by anyone as easily as other beasts.

The only exception to that rule would be the members of the 『Heavenly Army』, because all of its members are the manifestations of the genuine mythological Gods with different types of Cosmologies who were able to manifest themselves in the modern day by gradually bringing their scattered Divinity together. It is also the main reason as to why Indra the King of the Gods was able to manifest himself properly. But that would mean…

(I-I don’t believe it! Could it be that the 『Genome Tree』has the power that makes it possible to replace the authority of the stars?!)

Essentially, it can be said that the record of life and the record of the stars are one and the same.

Because of that, as long as you construct a proper genealogical tree and prepare a proper yorishiro – a vessel to which the spirit might be drawn into – it should theoretically be possible to properly pseudo-summon even the main body of something as powerful as a Primordial Dragon.

You emphasized the last part by putting her thumbs up. However, Primordial Dragon in question sighed deeply and let out a voice of dissatisfaction, almost as if he wanted to indicate that some of You’s words did not sit very well with him.

『You know, I would appreciate it if you did not twist that story so much. The only reason for why I agreed to lend you my power is because I have a debt with your father that I wanted to repay. Furthermore, I insisted that I am only going to be summoned once to call that debt paid, and yet here I am getting summoned one time after another to this scene of carnage!』

The Primordial Dragon frowned and snorted in protest of his exploitation. However, since he himself just said that he was responding to You’s temporal summons over and over again despite saying that he will only agree to do so once, then does that not mean that he is simply a kind-hearted Primordial Dragon?
