     Even though president Yuiga had shown us the floor plan only for a brief while, I guess she has a very quick and good memory.

     In the room, president Yuiga was facing the wall and sticking his hands on it, standing there.

     D’arc came in last and politely closed the door. At the same time, the sound of the door being locked rang across the room. I wonder how many times I heard that sound.

     President Yuiga, Mr. Tsurezure, and Ms. Ibara are all leaning on the plain wall with their hands.

     Behind us is a locked door.

     The problem was that there was a treasure chest in the middle of the room.

「President Yuiga. 」

「W.. what is it Yama? 」

「Why is the treasure chest open? 」

     President Yuiga looked away.

     Yes, a familiar treasure chest was sitting in the middle of the room. However, the lid of the treasure chest was open, and the inside was empty.

「If I remember correctly, we had agreed to contact each other once we found the treasure chest, right? 」

「…… You are right. 」

「Don’t tell me you tried to gain the upper hand over us. 」

「Haha, …… sorry. 」

     The Adventure Club president, Isshin Yuiga confessed that he had betrayed the second time,

     Most likely he intended to obtain what is inside the treasure chest and clear the trap. Then he would meet us and say there wasn’t any treasure.

「No, sorry. When there is a Nanana Collection, I can’t help but want it for my own. 」

     Stop making excuses that an alcoholic would use to explain why he can’t stop drinking.

「Well, that aside. Please explain our current circumstances. 」

     I asked why president Yuiga and the others were making such a weird posture.

「The room’s trap is still activated. 」

     By reflex, I looked around the room.

     Other than the treasure chest in the middle of the room, there isn’t anything in the room. However, if one were to describe it further, the entire room was made with square tiles on all the walls, the ceiling, and the floor in an orderly manner.

     President Yuiga, Mr. Tsurezure, and Ms. Ibara were pressing some of those tiles, but I could not tell the difference.

     Suddenly, I heard a weird electronic beep sound.

「Hm? What is that sound? 」

「Yama, please hold that part of the wall that is blinking. Quickly! 」

     He suddenly shouted. I looked at the wall nearby.

     As president Yuiga had said, one of the tiles on the wall had its edges glowing. If I listened closely, I could tell that the beep was from there.

     I pressed at the glowing wall tile as he instructed me too. Then, I felt a click, and the glow from the edges disappeared.

     However, the moment I touched the wall, I felt a chilling tremble.

「……President Yuiga. Something is moving behind the wall. 」

     I could sense something moving behind the wall.

「Ah, it must be something trapped inside. 」

「W.. what do you mean, something! 」

「Just now a spider came out. Most likely it is a poisonous spider. 」

「W.. where did it go? 」

「Oh yeah, Yū stepped on it just now. It was around where D’arc is standing right now. 」

     At president Yuiga’s words, D’arc jumped from where he was. True to his words, there were some stains that indicated something had been stepped upon.

     I finally understood our current circumstances.

     President Yuiga continued.

「As long as you press the wall tile while it is glowing, the tile will be locked. But if you don’t make it in time, the wall there will break and the bugs behind the wall will all come in. I can’t pinpoint the time limit, but it is about 10 to 15 seconds. If you don’t press the wall by then, the part of the wall will come off. 」

「Then what are you guys pressing? 」

「Ah, it is the tiles that we could not press in time. After taking the Nanana Collection, we didn’t  understand the trap immediately. So we just passed the time limit, and some tiles came off. 」

     Upon hearing his words, I realized that there were stains spots on various locations of the floor that indicated that bugs had been crushed there. It seemed that the upperclassmen could not figure out the trap before we came.

     True, since the three were holding onto the wall tiles right now, if the other walls started glowing, they would be helpless.

「Anyways, once you guys hear the beep sound, find the wall tile that is glowing and press it. That is all we can do right now. 」

     The moment president Yuiga finished saying so, there was another beeping sound.

     Tensai looked around and found a glowing wall tile. She hurriedly pressed that tile.

     The wall stopped glowing, and the beeping stopped.

     Tensai exhaled a sigh of relief. But as if betraying her relief, wall tiles on opposite walls started beeping.

     Beep beep, beep beep……

     Even though we hurriedly tried to press every glowing spot on the wall, since the two others were not that quick, we could not press that many tiles at once, because it took time.

「D’arc, please change positions with Kagetora! 」

     President Yuiga, who was observing, instructed. D’arc ran to Mr. Tsurezure as he was instructed to.

「It is this tile. If you don’t hold it firmly, the bugs will come out. 」

「Afgih. 」

     D’arc desperately pressed onto the wall while almost tearing up.

「Yama, leave this wall to me! 」

     Mr. Tsurezure stood in front of the opposite wall where I was and started pressing the wall tiles. As expected from a ninja, he moved fast with wide strides and utilized his entire body to easily reach both the top and bottom corners of the wall and press the glowing tiles.

     I focused on the wall in front of me, and could press all those glowing tiles in no time.

     In this way, since we split into two, we could press all the glowing tiles in no time.

「Is it over? 」

「No. At this rate, after a break the number of glowing tiles is bound to increase. So be careful. 」

     As president Yuiga had said, the wall started glowing again.

「W.. what, really! 」

     More tiles glowed now.

     I hurriedly tried to press them, but there were many more tiles than earlier. Most importantly, not only did tiles on the wall glow, but the floor tiles started glowing as well.

「Yo shorty, change with me. Hurry! 」

「What? Are you talking about me, Ms. Ibara? 」

「Stop pouting and just hurry up! 」
