The interpreter asked Nanana, he was asking on behalf of everyone who was watching the game.
「I am sending my ki force, it is a Japanese charm. Oh, don’t mind me and continue with what you were doing. 」
While saying that Nanana pointed her index fingers towards the opening of the shoe-case and glared intensely.
The interpreter translated it to the audience and the gaze of the audience turned towards the shoe-case due to Nanana’s strange act.
The dealer touched the card as if he was feeling uneasy being stared at by multiple people.
「Haaah! 」
Shiver
「Oh never mind me, you can continue what you we doing. 」
The dealer pulled his hand back again after getting startled by Nanana’s voice. He cautiously gave the card to Rou, being wary of Nanana.
As a result the card Rou got next was 9. The total of Rou was 24, which means it was a bust. Nanana was victorious and the number of chips she had now was nine. She had gotten drastically closer to Rou whose total had decreased to eleven.
In the next hand, Nanana was the house and the card which had been turned was 6. Due to losing in the match before, Rou had become cautious and had set the bet to one. The cards Rou had were 8 and 4. Rou declared to hit but the next card which came was 10 and the total was 22, it was a burst. Nanana had won without needing to turn her other card.
The number of chips they had were even, they had ten each. Nanana’s march forward didn’t seem to stop.
Next, Rou was the house and he made a bitter face at the situation. But smiled nihilistically after he saw the card that had been turned, the card was an A and if the next card was something from 10 to K then it would be 21, it was a big opportunity.
But Nanana didn’t show any fear even in the bad situation.
「I’ll bet three.」
Nanana placed three chips there boldly.
「Oi, Nanana. 」
Sansa reflexively called out to her and Nanana smiled at her.
「It’s alright, I have already eaten pudding. 」
I have no idea what was alright about that.
Sansa stiffened her expression and Nanana turned her cards.
Nanana’s cards were 7 and 7. Certain rules had been omitted in this blackjack so her total was 14. Looking at her hand Sansa had predicted something, not only her but everyone around her had the same prediction too. There is a thing called probability. It is a number used to predict various phenomena. It’s a parameter to show how difficult it is to accomplish something. The possibility of it happening is half at 50% and 30% is pretty difficult, 10% is almost impossible and 1% is impossible. It is one of the things to consider when making a decision. This is what prevents people from making reckless decisions.
One thing that should be remembered though is that even if the percentage is near zero the possibility of something occurring isn’t zero.
Why does gambling attract people to an insane level? It is because unlike life it is fair and it has the possibility that everyone can experience the impossible.
No matter how weak, how poor or how lowly the person is, they can become the champion once they are able to accomplish it.
And that ‘if’ in gambling occurs to the person who is at that moment, at that time, the one with the most luck.
Thus, everyone who understood that predicted it, yearned for it and wished for it. They focused on the card that the girl with the most luck was about to turn.
The card that Nanana had turned was obviously…..
「This is a good luck.」
The girl with the best luck gave a lovely smile. The card that she had turned was 7. It was at that moment that the audience started cheering.
She got 7 three times, it was a triple seven. It was a miracle that was almost impossible to witness. The audience cheered at the champion who had pulled out such a miracle. The audience started shouting in excitement and continued clapping non-stop at her heroic feat. In this moment, the audience were the girl’s devotees who were worshiping her. But the person fighting their champion had a different emotion, it was fear and terror. Anyone would tremble in fear in front of such a feat regardless of how powerful the person is. Rou who was hoping for an A coming turned the card with his trembling hand. The card, as if it was reflecting Rou’s mind was 3 and he repeatedly hit after that but the cards he got were 4, 8 and J, it ended in a bust. He had unexpectedly lost.
She had gotten seven chips at once just by playing three matches and had successfully turned the table. But the game hasn’t ended yet thus the next hand was delt.
But here, Nanana stopped the dealer from handing out the cards for the next match by pointing her palm towards him.
「I’m a bit tired, Rou-san.」
Rou was suddenly called by Nanana and he looked at the interpreter. The interpreter immediately translated her words. Nanana looked at the clock placed on the wall, it was almost midnight. But for people here it was the beginning of the night.
「I am becoming sleepy so I want to end the match here, is that fine?」
Nanana started yawning and after hearing what the interpreter had to say, the audience started buzzing.
And Sansa realized what Nanana was up to after witnessing the situation.
Here, Nanana is going to request the game to be ended.
Sansa was asked for advice while Nanana was eating pudding. Sansa had replied with, 「No matter what the case, even if this casino is under Rou’s control he can’t do anything obviously suspicious. Since this place has of casino guests too.」
Using Sansa’s advice to her advantage, Nanana made the gallery look at the dealer. She hasn’t pointed out the fraud but as a result Rou’s cheating stopped momentarily.
Sansa was asked for advice while Nanana was eating pudding. Sansa had replied with, 「No matter what the case, even if this casino is under Rou’s control he can’t do anything obviously suspicious. Since this place has regular casino guests too.」
Using Sansa’s advice to her advantage, Nanana made the gallery look at the dealer. She hasn’t pointed out the fraud but as a result Rou’s cheating stopped momentarily.
In short she had won by suppressing the fraud. So, the major premise of her plan was her luck and it can’t be denied.
And the appeal for the game to end here in a draw isn’t a bad one for Rou. Rou couldn’t win against Nanana when he was in an absolutely advantageous position and he had let Nanana turn the table with her luck.
Rou has probably noticed how absurd Nanana is just like Sansa had noticed. Rou is someone who has reached his current position, so you can assume he is cunning and good at calculating. It wouldn’t be much of a loss for Rou even if the game didn’t end here. The match would end with a girl who had good luck came to the casino without much of a reason and went back after winning a lot of money. It’s a big sum but in the long run it isn’t a big loss. This is a casino, money gathers here indefinitely. So, Rou would definitely accept her offer. That’s what Sansa had predicted.
「So, let’s end the game in the next hand. 」
「…..What?」
Sansa doubted her ears at what Nanana had just said. It had fundamentally betrayed her prediction.
Nanana smiled and continued talking to Rou.
「The number of chips to bet wouldn’t matter now, the one who wins the next match wins this game, how about that?」
The interpreter hastily translated Nanana’s words and it surprised Rou and the audience. Nanana who’s number of chips had increased that of Rou just now and this suggestion from Nanana further heated up the excitement in the VIP room.
「Oi, Nanana. Why aren’t you letting go of the game!?」
Sansa questioned Nanana in haste.
「That’s because I really want the pirate’s treasure, and that fox is gravely injured. Rou-san did that right? If that’s the case then I want to save it. 」
「Even if that’s the case…..」
「And it was such an ordeal to for us to get into this country and go to a casino, so I want to do it properly. I want to gamble properly. 」
Sansa saw Nanana grin and had to reevaluate things again.
She isn’t calm or anything, she is an idiot who must have been affected by the heat here.
