Nanana’s Buried Treasure Volume 6 Chapter 3.4

Hearing this, Misao tries to hide a fist pump, although Kuroko Ooki sees it. She laughs a creepy laugh ‘Mukekeke’.

Kuroko is a second year student at 7th High School and a friend of Misao. She looks creepy in spite of her nice body.

Amidst the growing confusion, Asumi as the leader summarizes the conversation.

「Instead of each of us having 5 coins, I want you to think of our group as having 30 coins. And because of that we should aim for 60 coins as a group. 」

All five people nodded at Asumi’s words.

「We will definitely all advance to the second stage! 」

And so Asumi and the Seventh High School Community get to work.

Just then a participant passes by the sex of them.

That was Tetsunoshin Tsujimi.

「….」

Seeing him, Asumi, Daisei, Masaaki, and Misao had indescribable expressions on their faces.

「Anyways, we gathered quite a collection. 」

The setting is a room in the building that M designated as the venue for her seminar.

The gorokuma lead us through a staff-only area at the back of the building that houses souvenirs and food. It was a large conference room.

I paid the gorokuma a coin at the entrance as the participation fee and received the booklet he gave me in return, then went into the conference room.

While the other participants were sitting at the long tables and chairs lined up in front of me, I was sitting at the back of the room with Yuiga where I could see the whole scene.

In the end 19 people attended the seminar, which was two-thirds of the total number of participants. Many of them were familiar faces including Tetsu-kun, Yukihime-neesan, Daisei and Imawano-san. And also Ikusaba-san.

If so many people will know the information then it’s going to be meaningless. However, it’s still better than not knowing.

So M ended up getting 19 coins from this seminar. In total she has 20 coins and passes the first stage.

However there is one thing that bothers me.

What will happen if M who has more than 10 coins, which is the condition for clearing this stage, leaves like this?

Even considering that M started with one coin as a handicap, I thought that the first stage would be a battle between 30 players competing for 151 coins. It seems I was naïve in my thinking… At this point M has 20 coins.

Having cleared the goal of 10 coins, M is confirmed to advance to the second stage… while still holding 10 extra coins.

While these thoughts were going through my mind, M walked up to the whiteboard that was placed at the front of the room.

With this prompt I open the booklet I had received earlier and skimmed through it. There was a detailed description of Sevens Land’s floor plan, the location of the battle areas, and even the rules for those battles.

At a glance there seemed to be quite a few battle areas within the park.

It was clear from this booklet that the seminar was planned in advance.

「The types of battle areas are mainly divided into three categories: strength, intelligence, and luck types. The key point is choosing the battle area that is advantageous to you. That’s right, ummmm… I think that people who are strong in martial arts or something like that would prefer a strength type battle area. Yun’s expressionism can be seen here and there in the explanation.

However, listening to her word choice throughout her explanation, it was clear that someone else was speaking through her. It was as if someone had given her a script in advance and she was reading it out loud.

The Guaranteed Victory Strategy seminar continued with this kind of feeling.

Aside from the information in the booklet, the strategies that Yun-chan described for the first stage were generally what I had in mind to some extent.

Selecting a battle area that takes advantages of your skills, and the Nanana collection that you possess. But then how do you attract other participants?

So for me it wasn’t really that helpful. However not all the participants around me felt the same way. Not all of them, but some of the participants had an ‘Oh, I see’ look on their faces.

What may be meaningless to me in this case is quite beneficial to participants who weren’t thinking about it already. In other words, participants like me who already thought of this and those who didn’t are now on the same level of awareness before the first stage begins.

Now, what does this mean?

Just when I was getting this unpleasant feeling, an incident occurred.

「…Huh? I don’t have any coins! 」

Suddenly one of the participants started making a fuss by saying that.

He was sitting right next to Yukkihime-neesan in the front row, and if I remember correctly he was the big man making a lot of noise on the tram.

「What happened? 」

When M interrupts her explanations and asks that, the large man panics.

「The bag of coins was here earlier and now it’s gone! 」

「Ummm, are you sure about that? Is there another place it could be? 」

「No! I had it in my pocket! But now it’s gone! 」

Suddenly M starts to panic saying, 「Um, uhhh…」. Up until now she had been acting calm and collected, but now she seems confused and unsure of how to deal with the unexpected problem.

「Don’t be silly. I lost my coins while attending the seminar that YOU suggested! YOU should take responsibility! 」

The big man is saying things that are clearly out of hand. Makes you wonder how was he raised when he says such stupid theories out loud like that.

「Yo, calm down. 」

Daisei, who was also sitting in the front row looking bored, says this sounding annoyed.

The big man is furious and throws his pamphlet at Daisei.

Unfortunately it doesn’t hit Daisei, but Imawano-san who was sitting next to him.

The moment I heard Imawano-san’s cry, I get upset and instinctively stand up from my folding chair… and then it happened.

With a loud noise, the long table in front of Daisei flew high into the air. It then crashed into the wall and shattered into pieces as if it were a toy.

The participants who like me were starting to stand up and yell were left stunned. Except for Daisei Amagi who slowly stood up.

The big mad had a nervous look on his face as Daisei looked furious.

I understand his fury, and I understand his actions. The only thing I don’t understand is why the long table bounced like that and broke into pieces.

The tense atmosphere was broken by the applause and bright voice of  Hiiyo Ikusaba.

「Please don’t make fun of me Hiiyo-danna. 」

Daisei is confused by the sideways smile on Hiiyo-san’s face as he calls out his name like he knows him.

「No, I’m just telling you the truth. Daisei Amagi is a man who has cleared many 《ruins》 and owns a large Nanana collection. And just now, I got a glimpse of the power of Daisei’s Nanana collection. It’s without a doubt the strongest out there. 」

Hearing the words of Hiiyo-san, who seemed to be laughing happily, Daisei remained sullen and looked embarrassed.

Misao-san pleaded with him with a smile. Daisei sat down in his folding chair in a grumpy mood.

「Now if we examine everyone we’ll find out who the culprit is. 」

「That’s right! Thank you for your advice Onee-san. 」
