「You’re doing this in a very roundabout way Kurosu-senpai.」

Kiyomi smiles as he begins to play Othello with Kanza, using a board that came out of nowhere.

「This is a stepping stone to victory. By abducting you Shiki has to think about her subordinates as well. Now her threat is reduced by half.」

「The advisor is also an effective commander.」

「Yes, as good as anyone.」

Even the most powerful individual is only as competent as their commander when in a group.

When someone is commanding their subordinates, even the strongest individual isn’t free to do as they please.

「That’s enough. After all, my purpose is not to defeat Shiki.」

「Oh, you’ve started to think much more maturely Kurosu-senpai.」

「I learned a lot from my defeat five years ago. It was the only time before or since that I was defeated so thoroughly.」

「That’s what happens when it’s one vs five.」

「Correction, one vs four. Koma is definitely neutral because he cares about me. He must, probably, might care about me.」

Kiyomi couldn’t help but sigh at Sansa’s words.

「So you haven’t given up on controlling Nanaejima from the shadows yet?」

「Of course. I’ve finally grown to this point. I’m going to enjoy ruling it. Rest assured, I have no intention of making a huge mess. I’m just going to make it mine.」

Sansa says this as if it’s a joke. However, this is the reason why Kurosu Sansa became one of the initial members who created Nanaejima that later became known as the GREAT 7. It was a plan that was in the works even before Nanaejima was built.

In big cities where many people gather, there is a darkness called the dark side. Because there is bright light, there is also deep darkness. If the light is strong the dark is also strong. If the balance between the two is disrupted, darkness may take over the city.

The young Kurosu Sansa wanted to become the ruler of the dark side. However if she wants to get to that point when starting from nothing, she must first eliminate the darkness that originally inhabited the city, and then become it. But that’s easier said than done. It will not be easy for Sansa to gather power in a city already ruled by darkness. And even if the darkness ends up cutting down Sansa, the light might take advantage of the opportunity and try to swallow Sansa along with the darkness.

There are many hurdles to overcome and achieving this goal will not be easy. Even if it were to be achieved, there will still be uncertainty. And so Sansa had a thought. If that’s the case, then all she has to do is become the darkness of a small city from its beginning and grow. After that she thought she could swallow up more developed cities.

At first glance, Kurosu Sansa’s plan is just delusion. However that delusion has actually become a reality, and now Nanaejima is called the 《special student zone》 and is attracting attention from all over the world.

It was five years ago when Sansa took action.

Together with her subordinates, she tried to suppress the key people and take over the center of the island.

What Sansa wanted was not destruction. It was a quiet takeover and domination.

It was a well thought out plan. However the current leader of the GREAT 7, Shunjuu Ikkaku, had seen through this plan. Ikkaku, along with the other members of the GREAT 7, crushed this rebellion in no time.

Sansa became a prisoner.

Betraying one’s friends and rebelling was basically a mortal sin. However, Ikkaku had his own reasons for not being able to condemn Sansa.

This is because of the negotiation skills that Sansa possess.

One of the factors that has enabled Nanaejima to develop so rapidly is Sansa’s long standing business connections around the world. By making effective use of these connections, Ikkaku and the others were instantly connected with the most important people around the world. No matter impossible it seems, Sansa is able to set up a meeting using her connections and divine negotiation skills. There were times where she would accompany Ikkaku, charm the other party, and play an important role in making the negotiations come to fruition.

If the front facing head of Nanaejima when it was established was Ryugajou Nanana, and the front facing head today is Ikkaku Shunjuu, then the behind the scenes head without question is Kurosu Sansa, now and in the past.

Without that support, Nanaejima could be in danger of collapse.

Five years ago Ikkaku made the decision to detain Sansa in Tsukuyomi-gai. She was forbidden to leave that area for any reason.

Even now she is watching for opportunities like this.

An opportunity to control the whole island.

As Kiyomi was thinking about this, Sansa says, 「You can come back anytime, Kiyomi.」

「Even though I was only hanging out with you for half a year when I was a student, you still say this to me.」

「You were by my side for half a year. That alone makes you a dear friend to me.」

Seeing that chaotic smile, Kiyomi’s heart started beating hard. The memory of the joy she had once felt next to Sansa came back to her. She thought it would be fun to be together again. Even though it had been more than 10 years ago, the memories of spending time with Sansa were still vivid in Kiyomi’s mind.

That’s why she understands it once again. The overwhelming charisma of Sansa Kurosu.

Maboro Shiki, who she now serves, once said something:

If Ryugajou Nanana is a shining sun, Kurosu Sansa is black sun that continues to burn in the darkness.

Shiki, who was caught in Sansa’s plan, was forced to reorganize her troops.

「I guess this one is the real deal.」

It was a perfect surprise attack, with communications jammed, left most of the deployed soldiers wounded. Some of them were stripped of their cloths and were rolling around.

The mobile headquarters was also severely damaged, and members with mechanical training were working hard to repair it.

「The 《game》 has to be monitored as well. To be honest, we don’t have enough people.」

Shiki scratches her head and thinks about it.

「Hey, would you like to make a deal? I’ll help too, so could you untie this rope for me?」

It was Yuu Ibara, the student who had been detained earlier who said this to Shiki. Even after being subdued by Himeko and having both hands and feet bound, she continued to act violently. Eventually she remained silent for a while, as if she realized that she could not escape.

「Hmmm. So what could you do then Ibara-chan?」

「I can release the grass.」

「Grass?」

「My cell phone, I know you collected it.」

「Cell phone? …Oh, all those cell phones that were in the detached tram? Yeah, we are keeping those for now.」

「Could you give it back?」

Shiki looked into Yuu’s eyes for a bit, then said to Himeko, 「Nonomiya-chan. Please free ibara-chan. It’s ok, believe me.」

Himeko still doesn’t trust Yuu, but Shiki’s eyes are full of confidence.

「It’s ok, this girl has the eyes of a woman in love. Same as me.」

「That’s a bad omen!「, shouted Nonomiya Himeko, and of course her rent was increased again.

Once she was released, she immediately made a phone call.

「Hello, Kagetora? What are you doing now? You were sleeping? Oh, well come here in the next 40 seconds. Huh? What city?」

Yuu angrily asks Shiki and Himeko (who was forced to sit upright with a sign hanging from her neck saying, ‘I’m an idiot who can’t learn’).

「….Excuse me, but where are we?」
