Golden Week (5) ~MUGO – Hmm… Sexy?~
April 29, Sunday.
It was the day Yuu went to come and play at the house of his high school friend Rei, as he had promised to do since some time ago.
So it was called, but he was only going down from the 11th floor where Yuu lived to the 10th floor.
Even though that was all he did, Kanako and Touko still went to accompany Yuu.
He had told them that he would be fine by himself because they were in an apartment with security, but apparently there had been an incident in the past where a high school student was attacked when he was walking alone in the passageway.
The culprit was a woman in her thirties downstairs who saw the figure of him leaving the condominium every morning as they went at the same time and ended up harboring a mistaken thought that it was without doubt mutual love because he had expressly matched his time to go out with hers.
Other than that, it seemed that from time to time, there were cases of suspicious people appearing on the floors where men lived, bypassing the security through some unknown method.
As such, as usual, Yuu, flanked by Kanako and Touko in front and behind him, took the stairs down to the 10th floor, stood in front of room 1005 where Rei lived, and rang the intercom.
「Who might it be?」
「This is Hirose. I’ve made a promise with Rei-kun to come and play today.」
「Yes. Hirose-sama, isn’t it? Please wait a moment.」
Opening the front door was a male security personnel.
Yuu had seen her before when he went home with Rei.
Sporting shoulder-length sauvage hair and flashy makeup, she was a person that Yuu thought of as sexy.
On the other side of the door was a woman who, in contrast, sported long black hair and gave off a meek impression.
「Welcome, and nice to see you.」
Upon seeing Yuu, the two showed kind smiles at him.
Neither of Rei’s security personnel was particularly tall, and they looked like ordinary people and unintimidating.
However, looking at their agile movements and the fact that they had the air of tension around them, he could tell that they were professional security personnel, contrary to their appearance.
When the security personnel at the back of the room made a signal, the door on the left side opened and Rei came out right after while saying 「Yuu-kun!」.

Standing by the door were a woman who looked to be in her thirties and a girl who looked to be in her early teens.
If I remember correctly, I’ve heard that Rei has a younger sister, so it should be correct to assume that they’re his family; so Yuu guessed,
「Well then, we will be going back for now. Please let us know when you are about to go home.」
「Yes. Got it. Kitamura-san, Kujira-san. Thank you.」
「You’re welcome!」
「Please excuse us.」
After bowing their heads, the two took their leave.
Since there was no cell phone, he had no choice but borrow the landline phone at Rei’s home if he wanted to contact them, which Yuu found inconvenient, but it was the norm in his younger days, so he had no choice but to resign himself, thinking that there was nothing he could do about it.
After taking the liberty to go into the living area, Yuu once again greeted the Higashino family members.
「Nice to meet you. I’m Hirose Yuu, I’m in the same class as Rei-kun. This is not much, but please help yourself with it.」
As this was his first visit, he offered a box of sweets he had asked Kanako and Touko to accompany him to buy on their way home yesterday. He didn’t know their preference, but it was a safe assortment of cookies.
「Oh my, thank you for going to the trouble to bring us this. I’m Rei’s mother. It seems that you’ve always taken care of Rei, and at home he’s always talking about you, you know, Yuu-kun.」
「M, mom!」
「Is, is that so…? Rather, you’re Rei’s mother, huh. You’re so young, so I thought you were his elder sister.」
Yuu had only read it in manga, but it was a line he had always wanted to say at least once.
Though, Rei’s mother was so young and beautiful that it could be said that these words came from his true feelings.
She was not very tall, not that much different from Rei.
She had semi-long dark brown hair loosely curled inward and a loose-fitting navy blue top that suited her fair skin. For the bottom, she was wearing a long flare skirt with an elegant floral pattern.
Looking at Yuu with gentle eyes, she sported a slim figure that gave off the impression of a feminine, or perhaps cute adult woman, unthinkable from a mother with two children.
In terms of type, she was the complete opposite of Martina, Yuu’s mother, but she looked 30 years old at most.
「Oh my! You’re still so young, but you’re very good with your words, aren’t you?」
Hearing Yuu’s words, Rei’s mother’s eyes widened as she held her mouth in surprise.
Her cheeks were slightly flushed with crimson.
The effect seemed to be outstanding.
「Fufufu. Even if you’re Rei’s friend, having a boy say something like that to me still makes me happy. Err… Come on, Sato, say hello to Yuu-kun, too.」
She urged the girl, who for some reason was clinging closely diagonally behind Rei.

Her slender body was well suited to the pale orange one-piece dress decorated with frills.
She was wearing a thin black cardigan, but the bulges in her chest were hardly noticeable.
「Hello. Satomi-chan.」
Yuu greeted her with a smile, but she ended up hiding behind Rei as if somewhat on guard against him.
Was she a shy person?
Yuu found it refreshing to see a different reaction from that of the girls at school.
「Oh dear, Sato… Since middle school, Rei has never brought a friend over, you see. I had heard that you were a boy that was very manly, good-looking, dependable, and unperturbed by anything, so dear me, I was so excited and looking forward to meeting you, unbecoming of someone my age. If anything, he was curious about how Rei had talked about him at home.

As Rei’s mother went toward the living room, Yuu followed Rei into his room.
Arrangement wise, it didn’t look much different from his own room.

Like Yuu’s room before the switchover, Rei’s room was clean and tidy.
However, while Yuu’s room was decorated in the basic color of blue and green, which were standard colors for boys, Rei’s room was decorated in pastel colors of pink, cream, and light purple, which were more girlish than boyish, making it difficult to comment on them toward the person in question.
In general, a man’s room didn’t have a stuffed bear on the bed or lace curtains on the shelves.
And then, above all else, what bothered him the most was that that fact that Satomi, Rei’s younger sister, who he thought would go back to her own room or go to the living room with their mother, had followed Rei as if it was only a matter of course and sat right next to her elder brother.
It was such a natural of an action that Yuu was speechless.
Rei was also smiling wryly, but he didn’t try to make her leave.

Yuu also sat across the apple-shaped table.
The cushions on which the siblings were sitting were purple and pink, while Yuu’s was light blue.
