Return of the Fallen Volume 10 Chapter 48

In order to awaken an aura, you had to make a person’s soul react. One of the ways to do so was to put a person’s soul under immense pressure. Pain, suffering, the thought of death, Kazuki would draw these emotions out and apply them to everyone by taking his aura and crushing their soul’s bit by bit.

His aura pierced directly into their soul trees and ripped away tiny fragments one at a time. The feeling of having one’s soul ripped and shredded apart was something straight out of a torturous nightmare but it was something Kazuki had to do.

Everyone began to spasm in real life and cold sweat poured from their heads. Kazuki could help ease this pain but doing so would be counterproductive as they needed to personally experience this. Cries of pain echoed out around the circle but Kazuki simply ignored their cries. Inside of each of their soul worlds, Kazuki urged them on.

(ENDURE! THIS PAIN IS ONLY A PART OF YOUR PATH. ACCEPT IT AND THEN OVERCOME IT!)

His aura continued to tear away at their souls piece by piece when Shin had a reaction. A colorless power sprang forth from his soul tree and fought back against Kazuki’s own aura. A pressure erupted from his soul tree and it came forth…AURA.

(Shin always was the most talented after me. Good, now for the rest.)

After Shin, Kazuki did not let up and pushed them more and more until finally one by one, everyone developed their own aura. The slowest of the bunch was Lamia but this was understandable seeing as how she had literally just stepped into the world of magic.

If one were to see not just one person but a whole group suddenly rise in power, the envy would drive them to the edge of insanity. Kazuki’s power truly was a cheat in a way but he didn’t care. Because of these abilities of his, he was able to enter the 7th stage. It was not something one can consider easy as the things he experienced getting to this point were beyond excruciating but the amount of time it took him to reach this point everyone could say it was unfair. Now he was bringing all of his friends up to his level and it would be even more unfair. Unfair to the natural world, unfair to those who have spent all of their lives in battle, endless study, expanding one’s knowledge, and driving their bodies to the brink but in the end, there is no such thing as fair.

(How envious would the world be were they to witness what I am about to do.)

Very quickly Kazuki expanded and condensed many cores and expanded them. He connected Mind, Soul, and Body into one, fusing them together and bringing everyone to the 6th stage. It was time for the final steps.

Kazuki opened his world and using his aura as well as his spinning void inside of him, he began to draw magical energy from all over. He drew in power from Gordonia, he drew it in from space, planets, cosmic clouds, and even stars. The amount of power he brought forth could destroy nearly a dozen stars and tens of thousands of planets were it to be left in the wrong hands.

Kazuki guided everyone and showed them how to combine their oneness with their cores. The Mind, Body, and Soul that had just fused moments ago now were brought together with their Cores and it expanded greatly. With the almighty power gathered around Kazuki, he sent it piercing into everyone and into their cores. So much raw power though could be disastrous so he had to filter it and slow it down as they absorbed it and got accustomed to this deep energy.

The moment this raw power entered everyone, all at once an eruption of monstrous cries and screams echoed out in agony. Kazuki quickly surrounded planet Kai with his power to protect it from their booming shouts and roars. Their power was already at a level that could destroy this new world from just their screams alone.

Entering the Convergence stage, every single one of them was evolving beyond what they once were. They were no longer simply human or beasts but something beyond, something more. As the power came into them, their bodies expanded and grew. Their blood and organs were filled with extraordinary vitality and their muscles ripped and tore before putting themselves back together bigger and stronger than before. Bones harder than god metal and eyes that could see through even the world itself, bodies that were no longer bound to a single world, and abilities that allowed them to explore and survive in the deepest recesses of space itself.

Taking a single breath could hold them for more than 10,000 years and they no longer needed food nor drink. They need not sleep nor light to sustain themselves. A small amount of magic could give them life for thousands of years and as long as there was magic, they could survive with a near-infinite lifespan.

Everyone grew taller and thicker. Hair seemed to explode out from their bodies as it grew like a cascading waterfall. Shaila, Tozu, and Sasai, couldn’t control this growth at first and they accidentally reverted to their true forms. Shaila was now in her black panther-like form. She had grown further and took up so much space that she was now the size of several mountains. The small gold spot atop her head now covered her entire head and looked almost like a golden helmet of sorts. her black paws all became golden in color and her tail became three.

Tozu in his true form used to be about half the size of a mountain but now just like his wife Shaila he was several mountains big. His body resembled that of an ape but now it looked more akin to a large gorilla. His arms were thicker and were fiery red in color and his rhino-looking head now had two horns atop instead of just one.

Sasai was a little smaller than the two but he was still at least 3 mountains big and the total length of his body was even longer than his brother and sister. His third eye which was pitch black now had a silver moon iris in the middle. His body was covered in hardened scales that shone with bright silver light and tiny black specks dotted him all over. It was almost like a reverse image of stars littered his body giving him an otherworldly look.

This was just the beginning when it came to looks. Asuna and Nunully once more grew scales across the surface of their bodies. Asuna’s red with shades of dark purple mixed in, while Nunully had sapphire blue scales covering hers. Hair had grown from both of them as well and they resembled monkeys. Not just them but everyone else had grown an excessive amount of hair, well everyone except, Sasai, Tsura, and Mei.

For the mother and daughter, they as well couldn’t control their beast form and transformed back into their true self. Tsura went from around 10-12 feet and became nearly a thousand feet tall and her wingspan was even greater. Her black feathers remained the same in color but in terms of strength and sharpness, there was little they could not cut in this Realm.

Mei, just like Shaila and the others became as big as several mountains. Her black and silver-like feathers simply became pitch black, however at the tips of each feather was bright silver and down her back from head to tail, a long silver streak covered her. Mei curiously flexed her wings and with it brought a gush of wind so powerful it threatened to destroy the entire planet.

If not for Kauzki’s power already protecting the world, Mei would have accidentally destroyed the planet already.

“MEI-MEI DO NOT MOVE ABOUT RECKLESSLY! THAT GOES FOR THE REST OF YOU AS WELL. CONTROL YOURSELVES AND RETURN TO YOUR HUMAN FORM FIRST!”

Just as Kazuki commanded, everyone listened and reverted back to their human forms. Though even in their human forms they were well over 10 feet tall, everyone except for Mei. For some reason, she had only grown half ahead taller even after all of that.

Looking around, everyone was bigger and hairier than before.

“Asuna, Nunully, your scales seem to come out with emotion but now that you’ve reached the 7th stage, controlling the functions of your bodies is as easy as cake and all it requires is a simple thought.”

Kazuki pointed at Sam and the others.

“That goes for the rest of you as well. All of that hair can stay or go with just a thought, it’s that easy, give it a try.”

Nunully created a large mirror out of flawless ice that was 10 feet tall and 20 feet wide so everyone could see themselves. With a thought, everyone began to contain their hairy figures.

Kazuki wondered if Lamia would have difficulty seeing as how she was brand new to magic but surprisingly she got the hang of it very easily. Once Kazuki created the Mage core inside of Lamia and it became one with her, the power within opened up to her, and when she reached the 7th stage and her mind soul, and body were all connected and fused to the core as well, magic now became second nature and was like breathing. It wasn’t something one had to think about and just came to her.

(I gave her a beast core that had the element of water so as to match with Nunully. She’s feeling Nunully’s energy and sensing it all on her own and she’s learning how to use water magic that way…Amazing.)

When Kazuki recognized what Lamia was doing, he once again started to get that feeling as if he were about to grasp something just out of reach. However, as soon as he recognized what the feeling was, that alone took him out of it and he lost it. Still, he wasn’t mad a this but rather excited instead.

(Just observing someone using magic and sensing it differently brought me near Divine Enlightenment. Mysterious…)
