Return of the Fallen Volume 12 Chapter 69
After dumping out a shit ton of Divine crystals, the fat branch manager got his ass into high gear. Scrambling as if he were on fire, he made Kazuki his number one priority and got things processed in a swift manner.
When all was said and done, Kazuki paid the fee and in return, they gifted him a storage ring. Inside was a tiny world and on that tiny world were a little over 40,000 slaves with different levels of power. Kazuki wondered why they gave him a tiny world but they just said it was a complimentary gift for him since he gave them lots of business.
Kazuki found it somewhat funny. Something that took him his all to create back in the day, with enough money, others would give you a tiny world as if it were nothing.
Kazuki stored the ring inside of Arc before meeting up with Barm once more. The honest guide then led Kazuki to two more places. One stop was a company that ran building management. They bought, sold, and maintained properties around the vast city of Talicus. Kazuki then bought a large palace within the city, and finally, the guide led him to his newly bought home.
Kazuki arrived at a large palace when the sun was on its descent. With a toss, he gave Barm a nice tip.
“Thank you Sir Medatte. If you need my services again simply send me a message in my mind and I’ll be here in an instant.”
“Is that so? Are Demigods allowed to move at superspeed inside the city limits?”
Barm rubbed his head with an embarrassed smile.
“No Sir. Sorry, I misspoke. I simply meant should you have need of me I would drop everything I’m doing and come as quickly as I’m allowed within the city. Is there anything else?”
“For today, no. I’ll let you know if you’re needed again.”
The two bid farewell and Kazuki was now left alone in the large courtyard of his palace. The courtyard was dozens of miles in every direction. A ridiculous amount of space for a single person but this space was not merely for him and him alone.
Kazuki took out the ring he received from the overstuffed branch manager and opened it. The tiny world inside was unsealed and he pulled all the beings inside out and onto the courtyard in front of him.
A little more than 40,000 people stood in front of him. Some were Gods, more were Demigods and most were at the 7th stage or below. These people all had different expressions when they saw Kazuki. Some were just glad to no longer be trapped within the tiny world while others loathed the fact that they were slaves and glared daggers at Kazuki. All of them though already had the three overlapping triangle slave marks on their foreheads and could do nothing against him.
Kazuki gave a simple and short greeting.
“I am your new master. Even though you are slaves, this is not the end all be all. The harder you fight, the more your rewards shall be.”
Kazuki could easily control them and order them to fight but there was a difference between making someone fight and them fighting with everything they have on their own accord. Although this difference was not something one could measure, it was something that was n fact noticeable on the field of battle.
A God, taller than most with bull-like horns atop her head looked down on Kazuki and asked as if she were demanding.
“What should we call you?”
Even though she was a slave she was still a God and she couldn’t help but have pride and arrogance of such a powerful being. Kazuki though was not for playing games. He released his aura and added some CHaotic energy mixed in with it. The pressure he released was more than heavy. It was like a Realm of unfathomable length and size. Dense beyond anything this God ever felt before.
It came crashing down upon her without remorse and without hesitation. It was so heavy that it forced her to her knees instantly. Not just her but everyone around her. The ground split apart and fissured beneath them as if a meteor had struck. None of them could move an inch nor take a single breath. The pressure was overwhelming and a sobering reminder of who was above who.
“You can call me Master. My name is something you will probably never come to know. Next time you talk to me, there better be respect in your tone. I don’t care what you were before, what life you led, or how you came to be under me. All that matters is I am the master. Any questions?…”
Of course, none could answer while under Kazuki’s aura. Kazuki gave a light smile.
“Good. Now, it’s time to get to work.”
Kazuki released them from his aura before reopening the small world. Setting up a barrier around his palace so that none could spy, he then sent everyone back into the small world before entering it himself.
(Arc, can you watch over the outside world and call upon me if anything is out of place?)
(Asking this time…yeah sure handle your matters and leave this gaudy palace to me.)
(Thanks. Codex and Sword, you will be training these pups and increasing their power.)
(What, why us? You are the one who’s best at combat Kazuki.)
(I just need their effectiveness to grow. You two are more than enough to do this task. As for me, I have things I need to craft and I also need time to myself to comprehend all of my new knowledge.)
(New knowledge, what new knowledge?)
To answer Codex’s question, Kauzki’s eyes lit up and his aura sank into all of his slaves. Since he had absolute control over them with the slave mark, he needed no permission to gain entrance to their soul worlds and soul trees. In an instant, he accessed over 40,000 soul trees and gained every ounce of knowledge from their collective memories.
Codex sighed witnessing this.
(Oh, that knowledge.)
With that exchange, Codex and Sword entered the tiny world and began raising the power of all of the slaves. Since they had Kauzki memories they could easily raise these dogs to at least the Demigod stage. As for them becoming Gods, well that was still a ways off. Even though there were Gods under Kazuki’s control, not just anyone could become a God.
Besides needing an extraordinary amount of Divine energy, one also needed to reach Divine Enlightenment. Even then this was only part of the way. Just reaching Divine Enlightenment meant nothing if one did not understand whatever universal law they tapped into when reaching this enlightenment. If one gained nothing from Divine Enlightenment, in the end, it would basically be pointless.
Kazuki himself had just grasped it and been on the precipice of it and a few times he was on the verge of understanding a universal truth but in the end, he was disrupted time and time again.
Most of the information Kauzki gained was nothing too extraordinary but Kazuki did pick up a few helpful things here and there. The thing he wanted more than anything was the memories of Divine Enlightenment from the Gods. These memories to his shock were blank or rather they were something that he could not process. Even with all of his abilities, these memories containing Divine Enlightenment were something core and essential to the universe itself. It was something Kauzki could not cheat his way into understanding. Even if these Gods were his slaves and their memories were his, it was as if there was a block of some sort preventing him from prying or learning the universal laws these Gods had come to attain.
There was a bit of bitterness knowing he could not just find a workaround but all was not too bleak. Even if he could not read these Divine Enlightenment memories, at the very least he found some clues on how to reach Divine Enlightenment. He could see everything these Gods had done leading up to Divine Enlightenment and in these clues, he discovered a common theme among them.
There was a limit that one had to reach in some fashion. This limit was in place across the board for everything. While trying to reach this limit one had to reach a certain mastery of these attainments. One God had reached it by mastering the bow to such a level that he could go no further and then in a moment close to death, he shot a beast with a shot that reached perfection and then went beyond. It was at that moment when he broke his limits and reached beyond perfection that he achieved Divine Enlightenment.
(In each of these God memories, they all perfected something in their life. One did it with flying, another with the bow, and another with breathing. Some of these were seemingly mundane but they all went beyond in one aspect or another. In order for me to reach Divine Enlightenment, I have to find a way to go beyond my limit, beyond mastery…Beyond…All!)
