“RUNA! FIGHT!”
Kazuki’s shout snapped Runa from her daze. Her vision cleared, and the rest of her senses returned in full. A large webbed hand came crashing down toward her skull and she reacted in a split second. Her sword was already in her hand as she slashed upward to meet the large disfigured hand.
*Schk*
Her blade severed the hand from the shrieker’s wrist in one smooth motion causing the shrieker to release a high-pitched howl of sorts.
Runa’s eyes widened and she instantly followed up. The path of her sword changed as she flexed her wrist and twisted her forearm slightly. Orange flames erupted along the edge of her blade and she cut down at a hard angle. Before the shrieker could react, her blade cleaved it in two from its shoulder down to its waist.
With that, the shrieker moved no more and its voice was silenced permanently.
