The slabs behind Kazuki began to glow, causing great alarm to Livia and the others.
“What are you doing?”
Livia did not like how Kazuki was agreeing with her and yet seemingly doing the exact opposite.
“Oh, me, nothing much. I’m just preparing to kill you.”
Kazuki had given her the choice but he knew she was just spinning a tale and had no intention of letting Kosaru or Mei go. Even if he could not fully read her soul, he could still tell she was lying with his soul-reading ability.
Since Livia only wished to trick and deceive, there was no need to put on pretenses anymore.
“Wait, there is no reason we cannot work this out. I said I would return your family to you. Fighting me will only ensure they don’t come back. Do not press your luck here, or it will only end badly for you and worse for them.”
