The purple dragon at the center spoke and Kazuki recognized this voice as the person who had put him to sleep.
“Sujin, my disappointing son. You made a vow to never return, yet here you are. A dragon who breaks their vow is a disgrace to us all and, therefore, must be punished. Do you understand your crimes of dishonor?”
Sujin did not fight these accusations. He kneeled down on both of his knees and sighed deeply.
“I understand and accept full responsibility. Whatever punishment you lay upon me, I will not fight. I only ask one thing. This man here has saved my life. Without Kazuki, I would have died long ago. Whatever punishment you bring down upon my head, please leave him out of it as he is innocent.”
This caused several laughs as well as arguing and bickering here and there among the dragons sitting on the platform above them.
