Kazuki had seen this greenish-blue flower literally revive the ancient skeleton from mere bones. Not just the body, but the flower also brought back a soul that no longer existed. This was the whole reason Kazuki and Zephris sought this flower in the first place.
(Killing Retsu would only complicate things further. The flower will simply bring him back, and crushing his soul won’t work for the exact same reason. Though his soul should no longer be there anymore anyway.)
With Restu being a dark soldier of Belux’s, it was basically guaranteed that Retsu’s soul had been destroyed
