Now that the Beast core was fused into one, Kazuki could barely contain his excitement and nervousness. He breathed deeply and calmed himself, resetting his mindset.

(Here we go.)

Kazuki once more introduced the Nexar crystals and its unique energy around the newly fused Beast core. The Beast core in response began to again shift between intangible and tangible. This time though, there was no longer a chance of the core unfusing and separating into three. Kazuki’s barrier of ki was already wrapped around the orb and the Nexar crystals. Containing their power, Kazuki pulled his barrier towards himself.

Taking a deep breath, he retracted his ki inward as fast as he possibly could. At the same time, he dragged the orb and the Nexar crystals inside of his chest, just below his solar plexus. As soon as he did that, he felt a ripping pain, as tiny fragments of muscle and bone became dislodged and fell into his body, ripping and tearing at him. Kazuki’s body trembled for a moment before he choked a bit and coughed up two mouthfuls of blood.

He knew this might happen but he thought he could deal with the pain better than he currently was. He was wrong. Kazuki felt as though he wanted to vomit. His mind was almost overloaded from his nerves sending signals of pain to his brain in rapid succession. His throat felt like it was on fire from the hot blood he threw up and his insides felt twisted up in knots.

The moment the Nexar crystals unique energy and the orbs passed through his chest, they for a fraction of a second become tangible. For that split second, the muscle and bone that was in the orbs way were shredded and torn apart on a level the human eye could not see. It was as though a hole had literally ripped open in the middle of his chest for less than a blink of an eye before it was resealed.

Even now, with the orb positioned in the center of his solar plexus, the nerves were constantly under pressure as Kazuki had to use ki to push them aside and hold them out of the way. This pressure was, of course, followed with a throbbing swelling feeling, like the pit of Kazuki’s stomach would explode at any moment. Kazuki could only grit his teeth as he sent ki to the affected parts of his body and began to ease his pain as well as start to heal his self inflicted wounds.

Kazuki was already feeling the strain on his mind, splitting his attention multiple times to handle all of these separate tasks at once but even now there was more to do. Kazuki’s hands flashed and he completed several ancient hand signs at once. Soon warm energy flowed into certain locations around his body. A moment later, a few golden symbols of the ancient language were carved out onto Kazuki’s body.

As these Symbols were carved out, fresh lines of blood seeped out from his sliced flesh. One symbol appeared on his stomach, another on his back and the final one bled from the middle of his forehead.

Kazuki then grabbed the Stazar Void rock and surrounded it with his ki before activating it. As it gave off a purple light, it started to vibrate and shake the air around it. It sent out strange energy that warped the view in front of Kazuki.

Kazuki then siphoned this energy similarly to the Nexar crystal energy. He allowed it to enter another bubble of ki. With the Stazar Void rocks energy, Kazuki drew it into himself. Again he flashed several hand signs. Two golden symbols formed. One fused with the Stazar Void energy and the other sunk quietly into Kazuki’s mind. Kazuki then drew the energy inside of himself with his barrier of ki. Then, that bubble of ki was pulled toward the Beast core and the Nexar crystal energy until the two bubbles of ki formed one. The Stazar Void energy floated seamlessly with the Nexar energy and the orb.

Kazuki observed this closely and made sure there were no errors on his part before he then cautiously shut his eyes. As soon as he did, his circulation of ki stopped and the Beast core and the Nexar crystals now combined with the StazarVoid energy were about to cause the same wound he had endured in his chest. Except for this time, it would happen everywhere inside his body where the orb and the combined energies floated.

That’s when the ancient symbols Kazuki had just carved onto his body lit up. The one carved on his forehead activated his mind and used his ki forcibly, while the one on his stomach and back drew the ki to the orb and the two energies and again wrapped them in a barrier. Once more, the danger was contained. At the same time as Kazuki focused and remembered that feeling to get to his soul world, the ancient symbol that mixed with the Stazar void energy as well as the symbol that sank quietly into his mind activated.

Kazuki opened his eyes and he was once more in his soul world. His brother appeared next to him and smiled excitedly.

“So this is how it’s done huh? I can’t believe I’m about to witness, what was thought impossible.”

Kazuki stood up from beneath the large tree at his back and took a few steps forward. A few feet off the ground an object appeared for but a moment before the very next moment it disappeared. A few seconds later, it showed up again. The fused Beast core continuously disappeared and reappeared in Kazuki’s soul world. a swirl of purple energy floated around it. It would fade from his soul world, only to appear inside his body before fading from within his body and reappearing in his soul world. This cycle repeated itself several times, however, the next problem came about.

With no ki or surrounding power to hold the Beast core in place within his soul world, it began to move all over the place uncontrollably. The problem with this was the fact that if it continued then whenever Kazuki attempted to pull energy from his Mage core, he would have difficulty locating it and drawing upon its energy.

When one normally is first taught to use their Mage core, they are taught to simply reach deep down inside themselves for a certain feeling. That feeling or rather that location was precisely at the center of their soul world. If there Mage core moves within their soul world and they are in the middle of combat and rely on that certain feeling. That pull at the center of their soul world will give them nothing and they will fail to use any of their power.

To not have access to your own power for even a split second could then lead you to an early grave. It was power mount to have one’s Mage core in the exact same spot always. Normally this would not be a problem for anyone, seeing as their Mage core would already be fused with their soul. This though wasn’t his Mage core and it wasn’t fused to his soul, at least not yet.

Kai stood off to the side and smirked.

“So what now? Do you just watch it all day or are you actually gonna do something?”

Kazuki ignored his brother and held out a hand.

As the Beast core once more appeared in his soul world, Kazuki activated the ancient symbol in his mind. The swirling purple energy from the Stazar Void rock began to glow a faint purple and vibrate its surroundings. The orb froze in place and Kazuki was able to move it to the center of his soul world. With the energy constantly being activated both in his soul world as well as within the real world, the Magic Beast core, stopped appearing all over his soul world and resided in its center.

Once again Kazuki shut his eyes and reopened them in the real world. Once he was back he allowed the ancient Symbols to continue activating a part of his ki, he then took a separate amount of it and began to drain more energy from the Stazar Void rock and send it into his soul world. As soon as he felt he had enough energy, he shut his eyes and reentered his soul world. Activating the Stazar Void energy using the ancient symbol inside his soul world, the space around the Beast core began to stabilize at a rapid rate. The Next time it became intangible it no longer fell out of his soul world and reentered the real world.

With it frozen in place within his soul world, Kazuki then used more of the Stazar Void energy to send the rest of the Nexar crystal energy out of his soul world. The Nexar energy, as though it were never there, vanished completely from Kazuki’s soul world and appeared within his body once again.

Kazuki opened his eyes in the real world and sent the Nexar crystals and energy out of his body and deactivated them for now. Reentering his soul world, Kazuki observed the Beast core closely.

The Beast core was now stuck in the very center of Kazuki’s soul world but the power was not yet his. Now that he was in his soul world, he could sense a hateful presence watching him. The moment he sensed it was the same moment he spotted something from the corner of his eye.

Kai stepped forward with curiosity.

“Now this is interesting.”
