No words could be spoken. The emotion, everyone felt at this moment was difficult to describe and they all blanked momentarily. To witness Tilly be killed in such a cruel way. For it to happen so quickly and in such a dreadful way. None of them even had the chance to react in time. In such a small window, their friend was alive one second and then dead and fused to Reya’s body the very next.
At this exact moment, Fera swung her fist downward and spit out several tornadoes all at once toward Glacious.
Glacious faced this head-on and rushed into the sky to meet such an attack. This was no longer about things simply being destroyed. If this attack hit the ground, it would spread like a plague. The chaos it would cause would sweep up Kazuki and the rest. Glacious realized his mistake in holding back and his demeanor changed. His red and yellow eyes both began to glow. One with an orangeish hue and the other with emerald green. In both his hands he fused his magic and created two large black flames. The temperature around him rose by several thousand degrees warping the air around him.
Fera smiled seeing Glacious waste so much power on her. The two flew at one another. One two heads taller than an average man and the other the size of an enormous mountain. Their magic rushing ahead of them, the two collided with both power and body.
*BOOOM BANG BAM BOOOOM KA-BOOOOM!*
The sky above turned completely pitch black for thousands of miles and a continuous round of explosions rang out in the sky above.
Kazuki and everyone else, all at the same time, their vision faded and their eardrums ruptured. They were 100 miles away from the impact zone but the resulting force threw them around like rag dolls as dozens of tornadoes touched down and ripped hundreds of feet of the ground up into the sky and whipped it around in the chaotic funnels of wind that blared around them.
Due to their increased senses, they could still see in this darkness but just barely. They could only make out objects a few feet in front of themselves. Beyond that and they could see nothing. Each one of them was tossed and turned in the sky and a few times they were struck by flying objects tearing the breath directly from their lungs. The world spun around them or rather they spun uncontrollably. This sensation was several times worse than what they experienced inside Glacious’s cauldron.
The darkness continued to spread outward and the dark energy spilling out from the abyssal trench increased evermore.
A dark fire burned the mountains and forest, reducing them to ash while spurts of gravity magic shattered objects and space twisted and cracked in the distance. Every now and again random chunks of boulder or pieces of a tree would fall into these spatial tears and disappear from sight. Sometimes they would reappear, teleported miles away but more often then not, the things would simply enter the spatial tears and they would not return.

*Bang*
A large palace door was thrown open and a woman came racing in.
Garn was checking a few blueprints, going over them meticulously when this interruption appeared before him.
He was about to slam his scepter down in anger but before he did, his secretary Mila knelt down in a panic and screamed.
“YOUR HIGHNESS! THE END IS HERE!”
Garn looked at her with confusion. Mila was one of respect and previous to this she had only one outburst during her entire career and was not know to joke around. Looking at her disheveled hair and pale face, the woman was not lying.
Garn ignored her lack of discipline and commanded.
“Speak clearly! What are you talking about!?”
Mila tried to calm herself but she couldn’t. She gave up trying and just said it.
“Your Majesty. Darkness so large that it’s blackened most of the sky has appeared out of nowhere from the northeast. It’s growing at a rapid rate and the ground has shaken dozens of times, each one harsher than the previous one. Everyone in the city can see it and they have started to panic, calling it the end of days. Not only us, but we’ve also just received reports only seconds ago from both the kingdom of Maoudou and Jin. They too are seeing and experiencing the same as us.”
Garn’s expression changed. At first, he wondered why he hadn’t felt such trembling but then he remembered he had just made changes to his palace. He wouldn’t feel trembling even if a mountain fell upon his bedroom. Still, this didn’t seem like a lie if even the other great kingdoms were reporting it.
Garn waved his scepter and the ceiling above quickly turned translucent and appeared as clear as glass. Looking up above, he was taken aback seeing the sky black. At first, he thought it was the Miasma and a hint of fear really did sink into his soul for but a moment but then he remembered Mila just said it came from the northeast and he calmed down.
He then grabbed a few crystal orbs from his breast pocket and saw they were glowing and flashing. He had been so busy he hadn’t noticed them at all. Taking them out he tossed them into the air where they hovered. The very next moment, the two crystal orbs each shot out blue light forming holographic images.
Two figures of light formed in front of Garn and Garn addressed them both calmly.
“King Brian, King Tobern, I…”
Before Garn could say another word, King Tobern yelled at him.
“Where the fuck have you been!? I’ve been trying to speak with you ever since this situation has started and you dare ignore me!”
Garn was immediately put in a bad mood. He had been so shut in and obsessed with his own projects that he gave no one the time a day, not even other kings. He felt there was no need to. Everything that needed to be handled or taken care of, could be done without his presence which was how he preferred it most of the time. He only really stepped in when things affected him personally. This was how he liked it.
After he became king, this was how things were done and everyone showed him fear and respect. Hearing Tobern curse at him, Garn felt his blood boil.
(This small bastard dares talk to me in such a way. If it weren’t for that halfbreed at your side, would you dare speak to me like this? I am the world’s hero and you are just a king of a kingdom that is falling to the wayside. Should I kill him? Should I take everything from him?)
As these thoughts appeared in his mind, a calm voice spoke up.
“King Tobern, you have crossed a line that one should never cross. You may be a king but so am I and so is King Garn. For you to curse at him, and act so unsightly is not how a King should act. Do you wish for your subjects to laugh behind your back even more?”
King Tobern’s eyes went round. At first, he was infuriated to be talked down to by a young King but then Brian’s words hit him.
“What do you mean they’ll laugh even more?”
Brian smirked.
“After your kingdom nearly fell from the hordes of magical beasts and I came in and saved you. After you had to give me a large chunk of your kingdom as payment. The people of Jin see this as your failure and many now laugh behind your back because of this. Do you want them to laugh even further at you?”
A large bulging vein throbbed in the venter of Tobern’s forehead as he recalled that fucking beast horde. He hated Brian but he blamed the horde on Garn entirely. If it wasn’t for Garn’s shenanigans in the Mirian swamp, the millions of magical beasts would not have flooded into the surrounding kingdoms. The person he hated most in this world was Garn. At the same time, he knew that losing himself here, just like Brian said, it would only humiliate himself even further.
Tobern went quiet for a moment before he changed subjects.
“The blackness in the sky, it’s spreading from the northeast. What is it and how are we planning to deal with it?”
Brian smiled seeing Tobern’s change in attitude. He enjoyed playing with Tobern as though he were a piece of clay to be manipulated and molded in his hands.
Garn was still angry but with the mention of the darkness spreading, his attention was drawn back to the topic at hand.
“I have no idea what it is but the direction, there are only one or two things that come to mind. Glacious being the number one suspect.”
Tobern’s brows scrunched.
“That dragon is still in this world? Why didn’t he ascend with the rest of those damn lizards?”
Garn smiled.
“Are you sure you should speak like that? Isn’t your right-hand man half-dragon. Wouldn’t such words offend him?”
Tobern scoffed, he looked at the large figure standing quietly like a statue behind him.
“Hmph, Bozek knows his place, unlike some people.”
Garn felt a sting in those words.
“What was that!?”
Brian interrupted the two before things went out of hand.
“From my reports, currently, Glacious is engaged in a fight with something similar to a Titan. Not only that, his younger brother Etora, as well as Kazuki, Shin, Kimi, Asuna, Sam, and Nunully, are all currently fighting a small group of Azirians. A new species we have yet to see before. Finally, there seems to be some type of reaction coming from the Abyssal trench but my men have yet to identify what it is exactly as they can’t get too close.”
King Garn and King Tobern went dead quiet and stared dumbfoundedly at King Brian.
King Garn felt something under the surface of all this.
“How do you know all of this?”
“As dozens of villages and towns of yours started to go quiet overnight, I sent some of my people to investigate. After several of my people failed to report back I had to send my best. What was found was Azirian’s 10’s of thousands of them. They were all transformed and turned from a human into Azirian. After that, a female-looking Azirian who seemed to be the leader headed over to the Rin mountain range and waited. I had people watching her since then. It seems she was waiting for someone. Afterward, Glacious Etora and the others named before exited a space rift. Just after that, that thing similar to a Titan showed up and a battle broke out. That all leads to where we are currently at. Any questions?”
