With his brain fully surrounded with layers of both aura and ki, the Azirian blood was cornered. Orichalcum flowed freely inside his head and came crashing down upon the Azirian blood all at once.
As soon as it happened, Kazuki felt as if thousands of needles pricked his brain all at once as the Azirian blood struck out. It actually began to fight the liquid metal but orichalcum was nothing ordinary. The mythical metal perfectly swarmed the Azirian blood like a tidal wave from the ocean. All of the Azirian blood, all at once was dragged out of Kazuki’s brain.
Just like the dark energy clinging to every cell of Kazuki’s, the Azirian blood tried to grab hold of anything and everything on its way out. The liquid metal was too potent though. As it dragged the Azirian blood along with it, the orichalcum began to absorb small amounts of it, causing the blood to shrink and degrade.
Usually, when it entered the rest of Kazuki’s body, it had the potential to go wild and multiply like crazy but Kazuki followed it perfectly with his senses and kept it surrounded by his aura the entire time. He suppressed it and allowed it no room to divide itself and grow. The Azirian blood seemed alive and enraged and constantly fought back. It’s poisonous like nature melted Kazuki’s bones and flesh but Kazuki’s healing capabilities countered just as fast if not faster. As the blood melted and bore holes into Kazuki, Kazuki regenerated at an unparalleled speed.
Kazuki felt an unexplainable joy rising up from within him as he witnessed all of this. Not even a moment later, the old ape in charge of this baptism approached the cauldron with the container of liquid metal. Grabbing Kazuki by the lower jaw, the ape poured the metal down Kazuki’s throat. Afterward, the old ape stepped back and once more raised a hand, manipulating the power of the cauldron.
If the Azirian blood stood any chance whatsoever. The moment the old ape gave Kazuki a second round, it was as doomed as a bird with clipped wings. The liquid metal rushed through Kazuki and absorbed more of the Azirian blood while at the same time forcing it out of Kazuki’s body. The moment it came out of Kazuki, surprisingly, the blood shot out of the cauldron, in search of something.
Oren didn’t know what the blood was but he understood right away that it was dangerous. The blood moved about like a bundle of feverish worms. It squirmed across the floor disgustingly before leaping, actually leaping at one of the many apes that was helping with the baptism.
Oren waved a hand and a wall appeared before the ape protecting him. The Azirian blood splatted on the wall and began to slide down. The wall then encircled the blood, forming a small container, and caught all of the blood inside. Before the blood could dive out of the container, Oren sealed it shut.
(“What demonic thing is this and why was it inside of Kazuki?”)
Oren had many questions but now was not the time.
The baptism continued without further interruption. Kazuki’s body was constantly torn apart as the liquid metal tore away the dark energy from his flesh and absorbed some of it. The magical medicinal murky mixture entered Kazuki’s wounds and with the aid of his own healing and ki, his body regenerated, healing back stronger and stronger.
Kazuki could feel his body steadily growing.
As this process continued, every now and again the old ape would force Kazuki to consume more orichalcum metal and everything would repeat itself.
The large container that was double the size of Kazuki, full of liquid metal after several hours it was completely emptied into Kazuki’s stomach. The old ape looked inside the empty jug and nodded in satisfaction. Stepping back, he lowered his hand and his ring’s glow faded. With his signal, the other seven apes also stopped pumping energy inside the cauldron. The stack of inscriptions inside and out all grew dim and dark and the power flowed no more.
The old ape looked inside the cauldron and found that half of the murky mixture was no more. Giving the air a sniff, the ape took note of the foul stench and found this to be normal. Grabbing Kazuki he set him to the side and clapped his hands. Once more the entrances along the wall opened up and several female Adrola apes came out with buckets of water and rags for scrubbing.
Again they scrubbed Kazuki from head to toe. They did this for a bit too long and annoyed the old ape, catching his rebuke as he shooed them away.
As Kazuki stood there, he couldn’t help but take a deep breath. In doing so he could sense the dark energy coming toward him. Before it entered his body, Kazuki formed a barrier of both ki and aura around his entire body, blocking the foul energy from entering him.
The old ape carried over some prepared clothes but Oren waved him away and gave Kazuki the clothes he brought tossing them in his face.
(“Hurry up and wear these. I think we’re all tired of seeing ya swinging that thing around.”)
Kazuki put the clothes on and quickly received stares followed by laughter from the other apes.
“Why are they all laughing at me, I didn’t accidentally shit myself did I?”
Oren smiled teasingly.
(“No, it’s because of the clothes I gave ya. Hehehe, they’re made for toddlers yet they fit ya near perfectly, hehe ha. How can they not laugh seeing this? To see someone so strong yet the size of ya fits clothes made for our children, ya got to admit this is humorous.”)
Kazuki looked down at his clothes before finding two large open holes above the shoulder where the ape’s shoulder spikes would poke from.
“Yep, it definitely fits, or rather it’s not my fault how big you apes are. I mean just look at you, you’re over 20 feet tall, while I on the other hand…
Kazuki began to examine his body when he noticed that he had actually grown a few inches.
(I’m taller?)
(“What’s the matter, ya just went quiet for no reason.”)
Kazuki shook his head.
“It’s nothing, it’s just I seemed to have grown a bit.”
Oren stood next to Kazuki and put a hand over the top of his head before measuring Kazuki’s height to his own leg. Oren joked.
(“You’re still the same tiny weird creature in my eyes. If ya did grow, It ain’t very noticeable.”)
“Of course you wouldn’t notice it, our differences are too much.”
The two shared a laugh before Oren changed the subject. Pulling out a small container, he asked.
(“Speaking of weird small things, what is this purplish black stuff that came out of you?”)
Kazuki stretched out his aura and sensed what was inside the container.
“That’s Azirian blood.”
Oren gave him a puzzled look and Kazuki went over again some of the happenings on the surface and what Aziran’s were.
Oren looked at the container with disgust.
(“How vile. For ya to have been carrying this nasty stuff inside ya for so long. I’ll need to destroy it right away.”)
Kazuki stopped Oren for a split second. He knew that this small amount of Azirian blood was different from ordinary Azirian blood. Just the fact that this blood seemed to be capable of attacking or taking over someone proved it. At the same time, Kazuki knew it would be almost impossible for him to learn anything new from it. Ever since it had entered his brain, he had tried many different things to learn from it or expunge it but he never got anywhere with it. Besides he was no expert on such things. To keep such a dangerous thing around would be idiotic.
After contemplating for a moment Kazuki knew what must be done.
“Let me destroy it.”
Oren stretched out his aura and inspected Kazuki’s flow of magic.
(“Are ya sure you’re capable. I can sense the amount of magic inside of ya and it’s very low. Will it even be enough?”)
Kazuki nodded and Oren shrugged before opening the container. As soon as he did, the Azirian blood jumped out of it and shot straight at Kazuki’s face.
The ring on Kazuki’s finger glowed dimly. He could feel his magic flowing through him. Pointing at the blood a bright fireball shot forth and the purplish-black blood was reduced to nothingness.
Oren clapped.
(“Oh that was impressive. That was the first time I’ve witnessed fire magic and the bright orange was just like a raging blaze.”)
Kazuki though was not impressed.
“No, that wasn’t quite right. It was supposed to be blueish white. I can feel my magic but it really wasn’t enough.”
Oren wasn’t surprised.
(“Well it makes sense. The dark energy in this underground world coats everything, well almost everything, my city is fairly free of it but some of it still lingers around here. Because of that, all of the elements are pushed out. When it comes to the natural elements, fire, water, light, are basically nonexistent down here. Because of the way the ancient alchemist Zephris created the orichalcum, the elements of wind, gordonia, time and space gather exceptionally well in my city. The only reason why dark energy is so prevalent around here is because of Zetrazz breath/aura. Everything else is basically a bust. The fact that ya can use the element of fire is actually impressive considering how little the amount there is around here.”)
(Most of the elements are pushed out. So that’s why my fire is so weak and small. This bastard Titan’s nasty breath. Nearly all of my problems come from that fucker.)
