Return of the Fallen Volume 7 Chapter 60
After a short walk, it wasn’t long before Kazuki, Tozu, and the rest came upon Sid’s tall shop. Shaila was the most interested in seeing this building or rather seeing all kinds of interesting objects and items through the shop’s windows.
Just as Kazuki was about to open the door, Sid’s right-hand man opened it from the inside and greeted him.
“Mister Kazuki you’ve returned.”
“Jaken, I thought you and everyone else was supposed to be on vacation while Sid works the forge.”
The young man nodded.
“That’s true but Master called upon me. He needed someone to finish gathering supplies so he could work nonstop. It took me a few days but I got everything he asked for. All that remains are the ingredients he asked of you.”
It was only now that Jaken took notice of the three tall foreigners standing behind Kazuki. Once he saw Shaila he couldn’t help but suck in a deep breath. The very next moment though he felt a deadly glare on him and noticed Tozu’s gaze. It wasn’t hard for Jaken to connect two and two and see that Tozu and Shaila were an item or at least that Tozu held heavy affection for the beauty.
The breath he had just sucked in left him as fear swept over him.
Kazuki gave Tozu a knowing look.
“That’s enough Tozu. He merely looked and nothing more. If you want to kill every man that cast their gaze upon Shaila, your never gonna stop killing, not for an eternity at the very least.”
Shaila chuckled lightly before wrapping her arms around Tozu.
“Dear no matter how much they stare I am yours and yours alone. That look in your eye though, I’m quite fond of it.”
Tozu’s attention was turned toward Shaila and Jaken could feel his fear slightly subsiding. He quickly turned on his professional attitude and greeted the rest with a smile. With a slight bow, he introduced himself.
“Greetings, my name is Jaken. I work here at Sid’s craft shop. We have a vast assortment of items. Those for daily use or things that require something much more advanced, we basically sell it all. Your one-stop-shop for all things magic, this is the shop for you.”
Kazuki waved him away.
“This is unnecessary. They have no money to buy things. Instead, are you done here?”
Jaken got the message loud and clear. He bowed once again.
“I’m finished. I can see that you still have business with Master, I’d best go before I get in the way.”
Jaken quickly left and Kazuki and the others walked in.
Shaila’s eyes were basically sparkling the moment she entered the shop. Her gaze was filled with the different and unique items here and there. She ran ahead like a kid in a candy store and was about to grab something off of a shelf when Kazuki called out to her.
“Are you sure you should touch things that don’t belong to you?”
Shaila froze on the spot.
*Bang*
A door far in the back swung open and old man Sid came walking out. Sweat dripping from his brow, Sid was wiping grease from his hands onto a rag as he chuckled.
*Heheha*
“Miss since your with Kazuki feel free to check out anything you want. Should you break it, I’m sure Kazuki will be more than happy to pick up the tab, hehehe.”
Sasai saw the short old man and asked rather impolitely.
“Kazuki, who is this short old man?”
“Oy, my name ain’t short you, green-haired bastard. I’m called Sid the dragon slayer Sid the giant. For you though you can refer to me as Sid the wise.”
Sasai felt some heat in his blood.
“Little one, you want to say that again to my face.”
Sid smirked before climbing a small step ladder next to his counter and walking over to Sasai. He stood barely a foot away.
“Green-haired bastard you must not be familiar with this place or who runs it. In here I am the boss, the lord, and the king but once more you can call me Sid the giant.”
Sasai formed a fist but Kazuki took a step forward and his ring glowed with a purple light.
*Clank clank clink clank*
Dozens of Motozu scales rained down and landed on the countertop.
Sid slowly reached down and picked a hand full of them up. He caught his reflection in the greenish-blue-colored scales.
“These are! Boy, you actually did it!”
“Yep and it was quite a bitch to collect these but I did. With this, you can make the weapon right?”
*Bwahahaha*
“Indeed young Kazuki. To think I would make it to this old of an age and get to work on not just one masterpiece but two. Not only that but to be able to work on them back to back. When this is finished, I do believe I could actually die a happy man.”
“That might not be too far off old dwarf but happy you won’t be.”
Sasia’s temper was still flaring but Kazuki gave him a side glance.
“Sasai, this old man speaks like a gutter but he means no harm and he’s also a friend of mine. Out there in the city, those that threaten you it’s fine to deal with them but inside here Sid is the boss. You will not dare lay a hand on him or forget alliances, forget taking on the east and south. You try to so much as touch him and I’ll break the agreement there and then followed next by your neck in my grip.”
Kazuki looked at Sasai with a glare of death. He was absolutely serious and Sasai knew it. Not just him but Tozu and Shaila as well felt the energy in the room change. Sasai gulped and unconsciously took a step backward.
(I…I moved backward from a mere look!?)
Shaila couldn’t help but smile watching such an interesting scene play out and the dark energy within Kazuki’s compass began to stir.
Sid didn’t know why Kazuki was so serious but if he was this meant the green-haired man’s threats were valid and Sid himself felt the hairs on the back of his neck start to stand.
Tozu at this time took a step forward.
“Kazuki that’s more than enough. You’ve spoken your words. This old man is a friend of yours and so he shall be a friend of ours. My brother would not dare harm a hair atop his head for if he does it’s not you that he will need to worry about but me.”
Sasai looked at his brother as if he couldn’t believe his words but Tozu was not joking. Again Sasai swallowed hard.
“I…I will not harm him, I swear it.”
With things cooling off, Sid asked curiously.
“Kazuki who are these people, are they friends or not?”
Kazuki shook his head.
“Friends, no but they are my allies for now.”
Kazuki pointed at Tozu and the others.
“This man here is called Tozu and the taller one with green hair is called Sasai. The beauty near the shelf is called Shaila, all three of them are Ancient beast’s and they have decided to join me for the time being.”
Sid was nodding along until after he heard they were all ancient beasts.
“Wait! Ancient beast’s these people here, how can that be!? Kazuki I know you and I share jokes with one another but that almost gave me a heart attack.”
Kazuki shrugged his shoulders.
“Believe me or don’t. Have I been known to lie to you?”
Sasai could see that Sid was fearful of beasts and so he took this opportunity to change into his true snake form, albeit much smaller. Still, he purposefully took up as much space as he could inside this shop until he was well over 200 feet in length and as thick as a barrel.
Sid fell on his as on top of the counter when this happened.
“Sss…Snake!!!!”
*Hehehe*
“Human I may not be allowed to harm you but a little ssscare isssn’t bad.”
*WHACK!*
Shaila smacked Sasai on his side and left a large red mark.
*AHHHHHH!*
Sasai cried out in pain.
“SSSister, why?”
“Shut up! You spread yourself out all over the place! I have nowhere to stand without touching your slimy scales! Not only that, you just ripped and ruined the clothes Kazuki had given to you. Who destroys something borrowed and it hasn’t even been six hours. Not only that, you destroyed a few of this man’s things when you transformed, how are you going to pay for all of this when you have no human money to speak of, huh? Now hurry up and change back before I hit you seriously.”
Sasai knew how strong Shaila was. If she were to hit him seriously, it would be strange for most if not all of the bones in his body to be broken. Even swifter then when he changed into a snake, he took on a human form once more. One of his fangs glowed and several elemental crystals piled up next to the counter.
“Old man, is this enough for the damage?”
Sid was still afraid but seeing this amount of elemental crystals equal to a small fortune took him back.
(This amount, is almost an eight of all my treasures yet he took it out so nonchalantly. These people…er, ancient beasts, they are the real deal. Just what in the world did Kazuki do in only a few days?)
Sid stood up with a weary expression.
“I get it. This should be more than enough. It seems the two of us may have gotten off on the wrong foot. No matter though I am very magnanimous. I am called Sid the giant dragon-slaying wise man but you can just call me Sid. What shall I call you.”
Sid held out a hand and Sasai was caught up in the old man’s pace and shook his hand.
“Uhh, Sasai is fine I guess.”
*Pffft*
Shaila tried to hold in her laughter but it wasn’t possible.
Eyes focused on her and she just pointed at Sasai’s lower naked regions.
He had ripped the clothes Kazuki had given him and he was now back in human form. As he shook hands with Sid, his junk was bouncing around and Shaila just found it to be a funny sight. An old man shaking a young man’s hand while the young man’s junk jiggled around. It was like they had just completed some perverted deal and Shaila had never seen such an odd scene before and lost it.
Tozu and Kazuki burst out in laughter as well. Sasai on the other hand didn’t understand what was so funny, he was just naked. Sid as well wasn’t laughing but that was because he now understood that the man before him was actually an Ancient beast, naked or not.
