“Lavia, today you can be as demanding as you want.”

“Yay!”

“Wow!”

Two days after arriving in Ville-Zentra.

After sleeping a full day and recovering their strength, Hikaru, Lavia, and Paula headed out into the city together from early morning. Though apparently Paula also went out to the church yesterday to do volunteer work.

So what were they doing?

“Lavia is fifteen now, huh,” Paula said.

Celebrating Lavia’s birthday.

It happened to fall during their journey to Ville-Zentra, and since Lavia told them out of the blue, there was nowhere they could buy a present. So they decided to have a proper celebration once they reached Ville-Zentra.

“I’ve gotten one year older again.”

“Happy birthday again, Lavia.”

“Thanks. I’ll be with you the entire year.” She held Hikaru’s arm tight.

Even though Lavia tended to be clingy, when she directed such pure feelings at him like this, a warm, tingling happiness welled up inside Hikaru.

Lavia met Hikaru when she was fourteen.
