“You called me here so suddenly, I was wondering what was going on,” said the antique dealer.

Usually the archpriestess was the one buying jewels from him, but today she was the seller.

“There’s something I want you to look at right away.”

“Let me guess: the cargo that came in from Bios?”

“You pick up on news fast.”

“Heh. If I didn’t, I’d lose my livelihood. So, Your Grace wants to sell right when the auction starts. Demand’s high about now.”

“Aren’t you the one who wants to buy it? If you don’t, that’s fine. I’ll just call another dealer.”

“No need to be so cold.”

The dealer gave a sycophantic laugh, but in his head he was already doing the math. The archpriestess had actually bought large amounts of antique jewelry from him, and payment for some of it was already overdue.

Calling another dealer? he thought.
