SCARLET SCALE

This Scarlet Scale is one of the scales shed by Dracarus DinoCerberus.
A scale born out of the “scarlet scars”. The scale continues to grow throughout the monster’s and it never stops growing. When the monster reaches old age, the scale is way harder than it was the moment the monster was born.
The oldest scales bare the collective names of “History”, since they were already here when the three great fire giants were born. They are as mysterious as they are durable, and they also possess many more qualities.

「…… Well, this scale was just born, so there’s no way that it’s as amazing as those old ones, right?」

Still, this is some high quality farewell gift. I am truly happy to receive such a thing, but…… I don’t know. Somehow, I feel as though I did not exactly deserved such a gift. Also, I get the feeling as though the look of the scale and its flavor text are not exactly a match here. It’s like having received a box of cheap wine and being told that it is actually a fifty-year old malt or something similar. Oh well, best not to think too hard about it, at least for now……

If you were to ask me, I would say that this was indeed a farewell gift from tri-headed Tyranno…… No, I guess it would be more appropriate to call it something else now. How about “Scarlet Red”? Are you going to die before we manage to meet again? Or maybe you are going to die precisely because we will meet again in the future? And just like that, the Deepslaughter who should have been dead for sure casually emerged from behind some debris that used to be one of the houses around here. And there is no need to be so shocked that she’s still alive, Emul. I’m sure that once she cast “Castling” on me, she had more than enough time to act accordingly and avoid being killed. Now it’s just the question of why she chose to play dead until the end of the battle.

「The announcement after the battle said that the number of remaining participants was three out of forty five. And besides, I knew that something like this would not be enough to kill you.」

However, as much as I hate the idea of giving this pervert here any credit, we would not be able to end this fight. So, even though she skipped the last stage here, I’d go as far as to say that her contribution was more than enough here. It would have been nice if the Scarlet Red made a U-turn here and offed her on the spot, but I guess it’s asking for too much here, now is it?

Plus, the number of lights was the same as the number of battle participants, so that’s even more of a reason to investigate this matter further.
