Aaahh! What a lovely, refreshing morning this is! I mean, and the weather forecast for the near future is great, as well. Just the way I envisioned it to go down…… But no, I think the next morning tomorrow is going to be even better. Mayne even perfect, at this rate. And the third seat in the Bakumatsu Online’s Top Ten Players Ranking, “The Only Sword” Metal Marshmallow. …… These two Rankers are like the total polar opposite of one another, and fighting them both at once is impossible, with no possible prospects on winning. Plus, both of them fight like machines, as if fighting was the only thing they were programmed to do. If they both decided to go against you at once during a fight, that would have been a true Divine Punishment, without a shred of doubt. …… Could this possibly be what we would classify as Giant Killing?

Honestly speaking, for the current moment I am kind of scared to even try to log in into Bakumatsu Online. I mean, it is true that it was the work of pure chance and nothing more, but the truth remains that we have managed to come across two high ranking Ranker and take them both out, which means that effectively I have jumped up toward the top of the ranking board for this current event. And we talk about THIS Bakumatsu Online, a game in which strategic thinking and planning ahead would maybe get you the fifth place in the rankings of various events, if you were lucky enough, that is. So this current situation was something that was even more improbable than you could have possibly imagine.

So in other words, my current situation is not something you would envy or be jealous over. It was not at all a smart move. For the current moment I am going to be the maximum priority target for other Rankers. It was a stretch to call this whole ordeal a set up, but…… That is the kind of impression I am getting from it. So for now this would be a “Snowstorm Hunting” for the rest of the event. Well, it is certainly disheartening to be manhunted by the vast majority of the server, but it is still way better than having to fight a literal raid boss of the First Seat in the Top Ten Players Ranking. …… Honestly, faced with those exact kind of circumstances, it is impossible for me to imagine any kind of scenario where I would be able to pull out a win. Why is the environment of Bakumatsu Online so god damn brutal? I would have better chances of winning if I were to re-challenge Gravekeeper Wezaemon or Ryuuguin Fugaku!

「If only I could find a surefire method of scoring myself a second place…… No, this won’t do here. You either go all the way or you go home! No reason for trying to aim for anything else than a first place!」

The strongest player in the whole of Bakumatsu Online. The one sitting at the top of the Top Ten Players ranking. The one player who did not received any kinds of weird nicknames, and instead got promoted by other players to the ranks of the “Raid Boss” without actually being a Raid Boss. …… And then there is the second place in the ranking, called simply “Our Hero”. I think I can take this guy down and secure the second place with some extra effort, but the first place…… No, there is just now way. Raid Boss is simply too strong, too much of a literal monster for me to overcome.

It is after all, an unexpected Giant Killing. So it would have been weird if there was no risk involved in it in the slightest. Sanraku: And thanks to getting rid of Kyo-Timate as well as two high ranking Rankers, for the current moment I am sitting right on top of the event ranking.

Katsu: Seriously? Isn’t this basically like getting into a first place in a race after falling all the way down to the last place? This is basically what we would call a miraculous return.

Sanraku: But this is not all that nice and pretty, since now both normal players, Heroes and Raid bosses are going to be on my ass. So imagine the pressure I am feeling at the moment?
