ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 425: Dragon, Oh Dragon! PART 2 Part 1

Where could Arthur Pencilgton be at the current moment where Dragon invasion was taking place? Could it be that she was right in the midst of the chaos and pandemonium of the battlefield? Well, no. For you see, at the current moment Arthur Pencilgton was safely standing at the deck of the New World Research Vessel, observing the whole battlefield from the bird-eye’s view perspective. Ctively taking part in battle was the last thing she wanted to do at the current moment.

This event is the first Unique Scenario EX in which the majority of players is going to participate, and it is a raid battle on a scale that you hardly even see in video games nowadays. So with everyone getting swept right into the conflict, it would be a waste to not be able to properly witness the incoming chaos and carnage from a front row seat.

All the while, some players decided to not participate and just observe the situation, waiting for the arrival of their “favorite” and seeing just how would that upset the balance of power on the battlefield.

As for the guild “Wolfgang”…… They were in the latter category, waiting and overlooking the battlefield from the safe distance, waiting to see just how the conflict would eventually escalate.

「I can understand that Akitsu Akane-chan has a suitable excuse for not being here. Hell, I could even understand if Saiga-chan came and said that she cannot participate. But where is our adorable little gunball Sanraku? On his way here? Or maybe god knows where?」

「I tried to contact him, but he was making a whole lot of excuses. Something about a little project of his not being ready yet or something like that……」

「He’d better come here soon and with a battleship-class something as an apology if he knows what’s good for him……」

Needless to say the trio of Rust, Mold and Kyogoku who were standing right next to Pencilgton were looking equally unamused as her. Seeing that, Arget Owl raised a question in a quiet voice.

「So? Where is the No-Face? Is he the gunball hitman you mentioned earlier?」

「Yeah, yeah, that’s right. Once he joins us you can go and hit on hit or even downright molest him for all do I care. Do as you like, I’m not going to try and stop you.」

So, that’s how it’s going to be, huh? She was bound to be sitting in here and having to suffer the company of that annoying woman while Sanraku was god knows where and doing god knows what? At the current moment the only kind of feelings that Pencilgton was feeling towards Sanraku were hatred and boiling rage, and the amount of those feeling were constantly piling up, reaching the amounts that Pencilgton herself would never quite think possible for a human being to bottle up inside of them.

「Say, Miss Pencil? Miss Pencilgton? What are you doing here? Why are you just standing here and watching, instead of going into action like everyone else?」

「Christ Almighty, you don’t know when to keep that mouth of your shut, huh? Not even for a moment! …… Well, I guess that’s because our target is not yet here? Or maybe you could even call it a sub target? It’s kinda hard to tell at this exact point in time.」

Or rather, it would be ideal for the other dragons to thoroughly exhaust the players before Noirlind get here. And what would be even better here: so that the dragons and players exhaust one another out, so that the “Wolfgang’s” job would be even easier. Minimum of effort, maximum the prize. What better thing to want?

But Pencilgton was also aware of the fact that the Dragons are not the kinds of opponents that can be easily taken on with a small number of players by your side, unlike the Unique Monsters the Gravekeeper Wezaemon and Kutanid of the Abyss. So in a sense, the true essence of her intrigue here is to see just how much they can weaken their enemies before Siegwurm, the Heavenly Emperor decides to make his grand appearance. And that’s the gist of it.

「Alright, so you see, in the first place a part of me was hoping that with all of the Players here, the ones being able to come to the New World, that is, it would be possible to do something against the Colored Dragons. But, as you may be aware, even though we only have two dragons in here, from the bird—eye’s view things are not looking good for us. Even more, they look pretty grim.」

Seeing just the way this new mysterious player is, Kyogoku decided that it is best to probably not concern herself with her all that much, unless she would want to have a huge headache. Instead, she laughs cynically while looking at the scene of chaos an carnage before her eyes, where a whole lot of small white monsters and one huge green giant were decimating through the players who were desperately trying to fend them off.
