And the only Aether Reactor the trio was possessing was currently sitting in Katsu’s inventory.

However, the “Raging Waterfall” that was right in front of Katsu’s eyes was clearly turned on and operating properly. At that moment, Katsu felt a chill of horror running down his spine. No way, could it be that this bastard actually..…. managed to produce another Aether Reactor on his own? But before he could think about it some more, there were more pressing matters he needed to attend to.

From the information that were available to him, Katsu would need to assume that there are actually two Sanrakus out there in the world…… Or at the very least that would have been a logical conclusion here.

That thought was meant to be a joke, but when he started to think about it, yet another thought came to his mind. This one being way closer to the mark than Katsu might have thought.

Could it be that there is another person or creature out there able to satisfy the conditions needed for activating the Warbeast?

「Say what now? What was that?」

But rather, the one operating the power armor right now was clearly not Sanraku. Even if he swapped his gender using the power of Kutanid of the Abyss’s Holy Grail, the tone and the quality of that person’s voice were too different from Sanraku’s. So the question remained: who was that?

When it comes to the most of the human hobbies, they can be divided into two distinct categories: the ones going from zero to one hundred and the ones going from one hundred to zero. In short, it’s all about either consuming or accumulating. If we think about it that way, Musou games are a curious example of combining both of those aspects in such a way that you reduce the number of the enemies that are currently on the field while accumulating your overall kill score and combo meter at the same time.

In other words, at the current moment both my satisfaction and tension were going through the roof and they were showing no signs of stopping at all!

I was only making light slashes with Memento Mori, but its actual size and sheer weight were more than enough to kill basically any small fry unfortunate enough to get in its way. And what Memento Mori was not able to finish right away would still be decimated by the follow up attack by Aradval Rebuild. So either way, there was no way that the monsters here would manage to avoid annihilation.

In addition, Memento Mori is an ideal choice for a weapon here, even more with R.I.P beinc activated. The more I go on a rampage here, the stronger the sword was going to become as a result of that……

「Hey! Hey! At this rate my combo meter will be reset! More! Give me more! More enemies for me to destroy!」

「YOU……!!! YOU BASTARDDDDDDD……!!!!!! I’LL KILL YOUUUUUUU……!!!」

I guess that the default mini dragons are no longer the kind of enemy that I need to be wary of. Same goes for the bigger dragons and the humanoid ones. I admit that I cannot quite get rid of them in a single blow, but Memento Mori does a splendid job here of blowing the opponents away and leaving them pretty much incapacitated and unable to continue to fight. And in the current circumstances that is more than enough. Would Aradval be even better here, or is it only something that is in my head……? Oh well, if the Memento Mori is so effective and efficient here, then I guess that we have nothing to worry about, right?

「Whoa, that’s actually amazing, you! This weapon must be exactly like Aradval, yes? A really famous weapon with a great history behind it! I’m sure of it!」

「Yes it must be! There is no other explanation here……」

「Nah, the real name of this weapon is Memento Mori. It means more or less “Remember about Death.”」
