Ahh, this sounds like such a bothersome thing to do. Yeah, instead of doing all that, maybe I should just try to sell this thing to the Library? Maybe those schmucks would be able to figure something out about this? But anyways…… It seems that this thing will have to be put on indefinite hold.
「I see. Oh well, it’s not like I’m in any hurry to unlock this thing’s secrets. I guess one day the day will come when I do this. But that day is not today.」
「That’s alright…… So, I guess that you would like to exit the ship for now?」
「Ah! One moment! Please let me do some quick shopping first. After all, I have a bunch of Score points here that need spending.」
The Brave Fish might have given me a rather sour look there, but you will have to deal with it! After all, I am a gamer, first and foremost!

Any form of Intrusion from the outside is physically repelled, and right after each such action a system window pops up with an apologetic information. It’s been a few days since the Leviathan-Class ship appeared on the beach, and curious Players have already started to approach it.
「Uwah, the Magical Girl Wannabe sits on her ass on the beach…… What’s up with that?」
「Ah, she’s the de facto Leader of the “Library” Guild. She logged in about three days ago and she’s been staring at this Leviathan ever since with only little breaks in between each session.」
「I don’t know why, but I can feel some extreme sadness emanating from that picture.」
The contrast was even greater right now when you think about the battle that took place a few days ago, the one in which the pink-haired and fancy-looking girl played a huge part. But look at her now.
Kyoju, having taken a few days off of work, was looking at the Leviathan all the time, sitting at the beach and waiting for something to happen. And it is precisely because of that that she was able to spot that there has been a “change” in the ship’s structure.
「……………… Huh?」
How should that thing be described? It was something that looked like a huge gate, or the lower front part of the giant spacecraft, or a ramp which corresponds to the “mouth” when its shape is biologically applied. That thing was slowly opening at the current moment.
It is already known that Leviathan is now floating a few meters above sea level and fixed in place. It was something that the first Library players managed to confirm upon closer inspection.
But the vast majority of the players, overwhelmed by its immense majesty, focus only on the top of the Leviathan, or on the non-standard-sized “horns” that extend from its bow.
「…………!?!?!?!?」
Bah! Kyoju took out a pair of binoculars from her inventory with agile movements that could not be imagined from someone of her real age, and looked closer through the primitive lens. And then she saw it.
It was hard to comprehend because it was sandwiched between the sea and the giant body, but you can see the light accumulating in the open gate hatch on the ship’s lower level. And at the moment when the bulging light bursts, a straight path of light was formed at a tremendous speed from the Leviathan hull towards the coast where Kyoju was currently sitting.
「No way……」
There was no answer to those muffled words, and Kyoju made a hypothesis while the people concerned were laughing and swaying all around her. It was more than enough for her to answer.
When she wanted to enter the Leviathan before, there was always a pop up system window that appeared in front of her that said: Preparations are in Progress. Please Stand By.”
There were many theories circulating amongst the players about the legitimacy of this system window. However, since the player who is knee-deep in various unknowns regarding this world managed to disappear all of a sudden ever since the appearance of Leviathan, Kyoju believed that possibility with all of her intuition. Her reason was pointing towards that as well, but it was mostly an intuition thing.
And that intuition was now proved to have been right all along.
「…………And that’s why the movement method is super-physical!!!!」
「Drop into the sea! Trust me, it’s going to be better that way!」
「Mocking the stupidity: It’s a bad idea to choose an easy way out because one lacks intelligence. If we’re going to get hit by the ocean in our current state……」
「Then what!?」
「We’re going to be crushed to death? Most probably.」
「Gyaaaaaaahhhhhh!?!?!?」
「Araba, shut the hell up for a moment! Alright! Align both of your feet together! Regain your balance! Adin! Dva! Tri!」
Some people started to slip down the path of light at incredible speed…… It was at this exact moment that Kyoju’s eyes shined brightly for the first time in three days, rejuvenating her and making her not look like a zombie.
「Haha, hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!! Alright! Here they come!!!」
The people around her cast shocked glances at the Magical Girl who decided to strike a fancy pose with her whole body, but she was no longer even able to perceive such insignificant bystanders.
Players who have already noticed that something unusual was going on besides Kyoju begin to gather next to the Leviathan one after another. Along with that, the giants, the bugs, and the beasts gathered to create a large crowd, right as the three “returnees” landed on the beach.
There was a moment of silence, one that was fragile enough that even the smallest of triggers would have been able to shatter it into pieces. And the trio that just got out must have understood that, for one of them was wearing a strange helmet similar to a spacesuit, which was quite weird and made him stand out even more…… And for some reason, that man had two horns that emitted a golden aura from the helmet. After another brief moment, that man brought his hands forward as if trying to say “Wait a moment!” with that gesture alone.
Then, with a silent body language, he pointed towards something he was holding in his hands, as if trying to say: “Look what I got here!” Then he manipulated his inventory and something appeared in his hand. Something that made everyone focus on that man and that man alone.
And then there was the sound of gunfire being shot twice, piercing the silence. At the exquisite timing when the silence of the surrounding players collapsed due to that sudden display……The man screamed out loud.
「WE HAVE FIREARMS NOW!!!」
A great cheer shook the entire beach.
