ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 505 Part 2
ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 505: Star Performer Enters the Stage Part 2
–––––– However, there is no doubt that in order for one to master the ways of Cursed Prison, it is imperative to adapt its mindset as well. And since Cursed Prison is a bona fide villain, it means that one would need to become a Villain themselves.
–––––– So, does that mean that No Face is a way better Villain than Amelia Sullivan is?
And no, it’s not that Amelia Sullivan was jealous of No Face, or anything like that. It’s just that she would want to do anything if it meant she would become strong and stay on top.
And in order to further improve herself, she wanted to confront that new Player who stole her most important title from her seemingly without any effort at all. And in order to do that, she would have to venture to the country she had no prior interest in and confront that person she has never previously even heard of. And that’s all. That’s the whole story there was to it.
「If I was able to do it, then I very well would have like to try it……」
It’s been about five minutes since Twinkle Pixy fell. According to the rules of the game the next character would be selected for No Face, and it would mean that the second Cursed Prison would make an appearance. However, it was yet to make an appearance here. What was he playing here? Was it trying to hide? Or maybe it was going about the city, looking for the opportunity to grow stronger?
And there is also the Targeted Enemy “Colonel” to worry about.
He is the core of “Mechanitian’s Machine Army”, and most importantly, the current Targeted Enemy. It appeared on the map roughly at the same time as the game started, and it has remained here ever since, powering the other machines and making matters complicated for the human players.
When it comes to that particular enemy, it has three distinct traits that make him stand out from amongst the rest of the enemies.
You cannot enter the enemy base until at least “Valkyrie” or “Colonel” have been defeated.
Once you are inside of the fortress, what awaits you is the randomly generated map that is never going to be the same. Of course, you need to make your way through a stronghold like that each and every single time.
And for as long as you won’t defeat the enemy leader, the enemy’s minions are going to be constantly powered up and grow in both numbers and strength.
Originally, both of the players were supposed to compete in trying to see who would be able to capture the enemy base first, while the Target Enemy was supposed to try and hunt the players down…… However, even without those special circumstances that were present here right now, capturing the enemy base is not a simple and easy task to pull off.
Of course, there are some tricks and strategies that can make that process a whole lot simpler. Like using a Cursed Prison and acquiring some of the Mechanitian’s mechanical army’s guns and upgrading yourself with them. There is also a huge benefit from having absorbed Colonel.
Then, if you can establish a mirror match of the Cursed Prison versus Cursed Prison, you would have to compete for the same resources while being constantly on your guard, as a single mistake in a matchup like that could be something that would cost you victory. Also, the HP management is way more important in a situation like that. So, while the Colonel serves as the sort of ultimate prize here, it is also a potential huge risk factor. A risk that is surely worth taking here.
「Oh well, unless we go out there and give it a try we won’t know if it works or not……」
Amelia has been aware this whole time that she is not a type that shows increased performance as the tension raises. She’s not like Silvia Goldberg or No Face. And she is always self-confident that she always performs the best performance there could possibly be.
And even now, even though she trusts in her own abilities, Amelia Sullivan thinks that achieving a “No Damage” against a Colonel might be a tall order, even for someone like her. She was also not all that of a religious person, so the thought of praying for providence to some kind of a supernatural being never actually occurred to her in the first place.
「…… Huh?」
And, just in that exact moment.
「Higuh, eguh……」
It was something that Amelia Sullivan did not expect to hear, at least not here of all places. It was the sound of crying coming from a small child, someone that was completely unrelated to the ongoing conflict that was raging in Chaos City right now. And once Amelia…… No, Cursed Prison heard that, she could not possibly ignore it.
「Tsk……」
A small child. A child that was crying. A third party unrelated to the issues at hand…… When it comes to Cursed Prison, there was no reason at all to help that child. However, when it comes to Amelia Sullivan, there was no way that she would be able to walk right past it without a proper reaction, Triangle Trinity or not.
「Oi! You there! Child!」
「Hyiiih!」
What’s more, here is a small tidbit about Amelia Sullivan. Apparently, she is not all that good when it comes to handling children, big or small.
「Ahh…… If you don’t want to end up getting yourself killed, you’d better get the hell out of here right this instant.」
「Ahhh…… Uhhh……」
「…… Hmm?」
For some reason, looking at this crying child was starting to fill Amelia Sullivan’s mind with a growing sense of discomfort.
(…… This NPC, why do I get a feeling that I have seen it somewhere before?)
In Galaxia Heroes: Chaos, even the NPCs are completely randomized, just like the map where the matches take place. That is why, a setting like that served to only empower the feeling of utter chaos spreading throughout the city. However, for some reason Amelia Sullivan got a feeling that she already met that NPC somewhere before.
No, that’s not it. What is related to this particular NPC is not Amelia Sullivan. Rather……
「Yo, little birdie! You really suck at being an actor! So move out of the way and let the pros handle this!」
「He’s…… He’s here!?」
A voice that was loud and rough like the roar of the engine. And alongside that roar, there was a mighty blow that was thrown right at Amelia Sullivan’s face, warping and distorting the armor that was covering it. And the speed of that punch was something else.
「Hyii!」
「Oi, you little shit! I’m not the one to believe in fate or other shit like that, but you never know with RNG. Who knows? Maybe we do have some sort of connection between us?」
「Mister? Who are you……?」
「Who? Me? Hmm, let’s see……」
Those were brief words, but instead of sounding arrogant there was a sense of absolute confidence radiating from them, as well as the feeling of something truly majestic.
His shape was weird and distorted, his body covered in layers of thick armor stacked on top of one another. And it was not your usual armor, but rather armor platings that originated from two of the three targeted enemies. And there was so much of it that it was actually a wonder how he was able to stand straight.
And it was then that the armor—clad person declared in a loud voice with utmost confidence:
「–––––– I am Cursed Prison. Don’t you ever forget it.」

Let’s goooo
