ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 511 Part 2

ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 511: Aster Sky Part 2

There was once a game that people called Justice Versus.

In this game, not only were you able to make characters from scratch, but you were also able to create your very own special abilities, gauge techniques, and even “Super Finishing Moves” from scratch as well. The only thing that limited the players here was their own imagination.

And it also happened that during the reign of this game on the market, or more specifically, about the time the game reached what would be called the very peak of its popularity…… There was a certain player that appeared completely out of the blue.

The name of that player was “Master Sky”, and it was only after some things that they managed to achieve that the prefix “Legend” was added to their name, immortalizing them as “Master Sky Legend”.

And what this name might be referring to? It’s the name of the two techniques that “Master Sky” came up with during their time at the Justice Versus. It refers to the techniques that consisted of multiple different moves and tricks, the applications of which allowed “Master Sky” to achieve the total domination of the sky in that game, and making it impossible for anyone to be able to challenge him as long as mid-air combat was going to be involved.

The first of those techniques is the “Ascension Sky High”, a move that starts with a single grapple and then follows it up with a move that throws the enemy high into the air.

And then that first technique is followed up with the second one, called “Downfall Sky Fall”. It is a technique that involves twenty consecutive blows done to the enemy while they are falling down, which can be extended quite a bit if you were to actually combine it with some minor bugs and exploits.

And finally, there is the default special move “Stormy Sky” that uses the gauge accumulated by the two above techniques to use a special move that melts the rest of the HP that the enemy could have had to zero in the matter of seconds.

Even though the actual structure of the skills in Justice Versus was limited by the specific amount of points that you had to use in order to create the skills, “Sky Fall” is the only player-created skill in the recorded history of Justice Versus to ever use the creator system to its absolute limits. Because if everything in it was to be executed flawlessly and without any interruption, then the whole “Special Attack” would consist of about three hundred fifty two moves.

Needless to say, a true spectacle like that which was created with the use of all non-standard moves that required extreme precision to be operated correctly…… It’s no wonder that the players of Justice Versus dubbed that move a true “art” without a moment of hesitation.

The “Shooting Buster Sky”, which was later downgraded to only practical performance. The “Weight Majester Sky,” which retains only its appearance form and nothing more. The “Weird Majester Sky,” which intentionally omitted the ascension phase and emphasized generation of openings from mid-air. This technique, which gave rise to many derivative forms such as “Arashiten Tempester Sky”, was considered impossible to reproduce except for Justice Versus due to the movement being too complicated and requiring way more precision than was worth the effort.

Or at the very least, that’s how things were supposed to be like until today.

Because after seeing both of them in action, I was more than sure that both Meetias and Cursed Prison were able to adopt that kind of playstyle, mostly because their mobility is the best amongst every character in Galaxia Heroes: Chaos (Cursed Prison only in its Prison Break state).

A pseudo “”Sky Fall” that uses the wall of the building as a foothold to repeatedly jump and land while running in parallel with the enemy and attacking.

And in the end, you only need to land a successful pseudo “Stormy Sky Strike” in order for the combination attack to finally be completed.

However, there is still some quite considerable distance left towards the ground.

「No, that’s not it! That’s not a flying kick at all!」

The current movements of Prison Break show something quite different indeed.

* * *

No good! No good! No good!

You stupid, retarded Invincible Mode! Because of that blasted thing, the amount of tension that I was subjected to right now was exceeding critical mass!

「However!」

This begs for further arrangements to be made here! Originally I was supposed to perform a Stormy Flying Kick right about now, but I see that this needs to be changed…… Now!

It could be considered to be a little bit of a sneak peek, but it’s said that Master Sky, the person who devised this series of instant death combos, was a person who hardly made any callouts to the world except for posting a few of the combo videos. And there are comments being left on those videos even to this day.

This is the comment I found when I was searching for information on “Sky Fall” … The word “Sky Fall is the art of compromise”, because the original “Sky Fall” could not be installed even after making full use of bugs and glitches. Now, here is the “Decisive technique” that made it all possible, almost ten years after the thing was first introduced! And it is all going to come together because of Prison Break!

「One second! Just one second is going to be more than enough here!」

「Yeah, thought as much!」

That’s right, the “Stormy Weather” alone is not going to cut it here, not even by a long shot. I can see it all because I have been practicing those moves over and over again, even if you kick in the shortest straight line, it would be a blow that would be in time for Xenoselgus’s ultimate ability to still be in effect.

And if that’s the case!

「The true Special Technique to settle this matter…… is going to be one heck of a Galactic Blow!」

In Justice Versus, the name of that special attack was “Universe Tale!”. It was supposed to be a special move that started with a grab attack on the ground followed up with a throw, an action that could be followed instantly with a swift “Sky Fall”. Normally it would have been impossible to replicate that technique in this environment, but thanks to the wall of the building here that allowed me to do some aerial jumps I could easily brute force it through!

「Now then, I shall give you the taste of it! The taste of the true power!」

While the Xenoselgus is still falling in mid-air, I grab it by the ankle, and then step first on the wall of the building and then on the void of the air, while twisting and turning my body in the shape of the full and perfect circle. Then, thanks to the created momentum I throw Xenoselgus towards the ground, kick the wall once more, kick the air again and dash towards the ground in one last acceleration!

I knew it, this game really is the best when it comes to moves like that. With the physics being not that much grounded in reality, there is need for me to actually worry about them all that much.

「This is my Ultimate Move! Legend of the Sky Master, Revised!!!」

I make a quick somersault in the air, while moving forward and concentrating all of that falling energy at one singular point in my heel. It was also at the same time that the green aura surrounding that mountain of muscles finally disappeared, meaning that it was all good for me to proceed forward. But if I did not know what it was or what to watch out for, I would have never actually dared to proceed with this plan.

「My very own Replication Style…… “ASTER SKY!!!」

And just like that, the blow managed to connect splendidly.
