Certainly, I think that I am still able to handle it with a single hand still, and that I would be able to handle the second sword with my other arm if need be, just like I did with Aradval Rebuild at that time. Or should we call it a dual wielding system at this point? …… In the present condition I cannot handle my Memento Mori with one hand without being separated. If you have to earn a kill score somewhere, and if the Orchestra knows about the nature of my situation, it should be a hint about that or a remedy somewhere in the near future. Because they had to fix this boss to affiliate solo battle against it.
「So…… In the end it’s all about that blasted tornado, huh?」」
Going against the reproduced Great Red Devourer, it is safe to assume that even the nature of that tornado attack has been preserved the way it was supposed to originally be. Previously, I wouldn’t want to pick up my sword because it would mean gambling my life to being squashed up. The worst part about multi-headed monsters is that their eyes can very well work independently from one another. And at the same time they are one individual, so it makes the situation even worse. It is basically impossible to try to escape the field of vision of all the eyes like that, and the moment one of those things catches you, they won’t let you go until the body is going to catch up to you and basically rip you to shreds. Plus, let’s not forget about the ability to fire off the much hated laser attacks. Because that is still a thing here.

What I want right now is the right amount of time needed for me to mount a proper counterattack. And to that end I take out the Dis Pater shield and receive one of the laser beams with it, bringing it back to the sender. Now is the time for a little science experiment! Let’s see how our enemy is going to react to it!

Just like that, my HP recovers. So it means that an attack like that counts as killing a smaller enemy, even though it was not a real kill. So if the weapon works like that, then the armor should have no problem as well, right? That being said, I ran forward while holding my shield in front of me, aiming towards the greatsword that was stuck in the ground.
Since Dis Pater’s Durability tends to shrink at an alarming pace, it is necessary to not overuse it here, but if there is a need to use it, then that is what I am going to do. That being said, evasion is still the key here, and to that end, let’s try to do that one specific thing one more time, shall we?
「I’ll be borrowing your back for a moment out there!」
What is this with trying to hitch a ride on someone else’s back here? Or you know what, no. It doesn’t really matter all that much to me. Not right now. And just like that, the red phantom falls to the ground and dissolves into the muddy red puddle, just like the surrounding crystals. However, if there is a point that is different from the original story, it would be that the red puddle does not disappear like fine dust, but it starts to evaporate and accumulate, most likely to take on a new shape.
