ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 536: An Orchestra Just For You PART 16 Part 1
Oh man, let me tell you, this match that I had yesterday was truly a match to remember! There was quite a brawl that broke out in the field and while the other players were trying to catch me I broke out and started running! But then along came the Golden Crystal Scorpion and snatched me, scoring a magnificent touchdown using my body as a ball! …… I must say, I sweated a whole lot during that match!
And I must admit one more thing here: even though I have discovered all those places on the New Continent, the Crystal Cliffs are by far the best farming spot for me. Not only can I earn a whole lot of Vorpal Soul points (presumably), but I can also earn a ton of good quality materials along with some much needed money. …… And because of the specifics of this place I don’t really need to worry about other players coming in and snatching my prizes away from me anytime soon. Which only adds to the marvelousness of this place.
「And I must say, it was indeed quite refreshing to be able to do this kind of thing for the first time in a while. Truly a liberating kind of feeling.」
「I…… I see. Not that I can relate in any sort of way, but alright, I guess. Umm, you know, I don’t know how to tell you this, but…… I’m actually starting to feel kind of beat myself.」
Feeling kind of beat? From what, exactly? What are you even saying, Emul? This is nowhere near enough monsters that need to be slaughtered, you know? We still have way more of them to put through a wrangler. Although…… Maybe it would be a good idea to call it a day now. I mean, I already have a mountain-load of materials that basically rot away in the Inventoria, so it might be a good idea to first get rid of all of those before actually going to restock.
Basically when you get down to it, ShangriLa Frontier does not have the feature of fast travelling. That’s not really a problem for someone who plays this game casually and purely for fun, but for some people who take this game way more seriously than they should be, the demand for fast travelling is actually quite large. And since the only way in which you can get from place to place is via Teleportation, this demand opened up a certain new niche on the market. The niche that people like that pervert Deepslaughter could exploit quite hard, earning a ridiculous amount of money for themselves.
You would think that the answer to that is to simply learn Teleportation Magic yourself, but that is not all that easy of a feat to accomplish.
That is why having a living Teleportation Scroll called Vorpal Bunny is so great. Hell, you could even call this a cheat, and that statement would not be all that far from being true. That is why I was able to get a tremendous advantage over this game’s top dogs, such as Saiga-0, and obtain some items and resources that would theoretically be quite hard to obtain at this level in the game…… Fufufu, it is even because of that that I managed to release my level cap so fast, which must have made me look like an even greater monster in the eyes of some people. Sometimes my own ingenuity scares even myself.

「…… Hmm? What’s wrong, Saiga-san? Is something the matter?」
「Umm, you see, the thing is!」
「Y-Yeah? What is it?」
「Hizutome-kun, you see, it’s about that…… When it comes to the higher education, do you think you could tell me where do you plan to go after finishing high school……?」
「As for the course I am thinking of undertaking? I’m thinking about the Economic Course at the local University.」
「…… I-Is that so? I-I see.」
I have decided to go to University after that useful piece of advice that Takeda-san gave me some time ago. And because with my current level of grades the Economics course was pretty well within my reach, picking the right course to major in was not really all that much of a problem. Takeda-san also said that University should be relatively easy to breeze through if you are diligent with your studies and that you can make some life-lasting friendships while being there and meet all sorts of interesting people. Interestingly enough, Takeda-san also said that the studies are not all that important while going to University, but it’s about meeting new people and having fun…… It’s kind of a weird thing to say, but looking at where Takeda-san stands in society right now, there must be at least some amount of truth to his words. I just wish that after graduating University I can be just like Takeda-san, being able to make a ton of money while travelling all over the world and not having to worry about anything at all.
「And what about you, Saiga-san? Have you decided what you want to do once you finish high school?」
「W-What a coincidence! A-As it turns out, I am also going for a major in Economics! And what’s even greater of a coincidence, at the very same University! Talk about a small world we live in, huh!?」
「H-Huh, y-yeah? I-Is that so……?」
What’s the deal with the sudden change in speech pattern? Could it be that Saiga-san is secretly a robot and her programming went all hay-wire in an instant? No, but that’s my bad in here as well! That’s the most forbidden kind of taboo in the gaming world! You never actually ask your gaming buddies about their future in real life. Even though the other side was the one to get the ball rolling, I didn’t actually have to kick it back into her court like that!
「But in that case, that University is a good distance away from where you live, Saiga-san. Does that mean that you are going to be living on your own starting University?」
「Yes, that’s…… That’s right. At least… that’s what I would… like to…… do.」
「That that being said, paying rent is going to be a problem, right? In that regard I have heard that sharing a room is actually a much cheaper solution. This is what I’m probably going to do, but that’s me. Others might actually have some other views on that subject.」
Going to school from the different prefecture might be a hard thing to accomplish, even in today’s day and age. Just having to allocate the time for travelling to school and back home might heavily influence your daily schedule…… Besides, isn’t it a fact that University classes are always being held early in the morning? Then that would make even bigger of a problem here.
「Room sharing…… ROOM!? SHARING!?」
And what the hell is wrong with that reaction? That’s really disturbing, even horror-movie worthy if you were to ask me for an opinion.
「Huh? Uhm, yeah, well, I mean, yeah. That kind of thing.」
