Pencil Warrior: So, a little bit of a news corner here. I have heard that PayNote 3 is going to be a shitty game to end all shitty games. Would you like to comment on that?
Sanraku: I don’t know where you heard that opinion from, but you’d better verify your sources. PayNote 3 is by no means going to be a shitty game to end all shitty games, as you have said it. It’s just that the gameplay part of the game is going to be rather generic and boring in comparison to the presented story and the characters. Because that’s where the vast part of the budget was being placed. They are going to be perfect. Such a result must come at a price, don’t you think?
Pencil Warrior; Oh, yeah, that’s right, I totally forgot. A fanboy. So much for an objective and unbiased opinion, huh?
Sanraku: Look, you can call me whatever you like, but those are the facts. Cold, hard truth. You don’t buy a game just for the gameplay bits alone. You buy it for its entirety, and learn to appreciate it even if some parts of it are downright bad or unplayable. And yes, let’s admit it. There are parts of this game that are worthy of being called shitty game-like. However, it’s not the developers’ fault. This L lies solely on the side of the publisher. Because they are the shitty game’s magnet.
Sanraku: You should really give it a try sometimes. I promise that it’s a pretty unique, if not psychologically unsettling at times, experience. You won’t be sorry!
Pencil Warrior: Yeah, thanks, but no thanks. I don’t think I am ever going to give this one a try. I mean, I like my mental state the way it is at the current moment, and I would absolutely hate it if something was to change that fact.

I have once heard from Takeda-san that one of his friends, a die-hard fan of the Crescent Memoirs series, managed to sustain a really serious injury while trying to obtain one of the previous entries of this series. Honestly, I was always treating that story like one of those conspiracy theories about the Westerners having predicted the current global oil crisis and managing to strike it rich as a result, pushing the next-generation of eco-friendly energy sources. Which is to say, with a huge grain of salt. That being said, what kind of a comparison is that, comparing a gamer to a fuel tycoon? I mean, both of those groups surely have some extremists amongst their ranks, but I guess that’s about the only parallel that can be drawn between the two. Which is already strange enough that a parallel can be drawn here in the first place, but I digress……
