Sorry about that, but since I have been playing nothing but action games lately, I can’t help it but to use melee. But I mean, I still have some mobility on me, so at the very least I am better than the typical balls-to-the-wall melee character like Rhino here.

After the Update, Galaxy Traveler no longer had the same moveset as it used to have in the past. This is because the previous normal parameters have been combined with new specialized system called “motor skills”. So even though it looked similar, it was not the same thing as before the Update. Now we have “Short-Range Combat Skill”, which is a compound parameter of Strength and Agility, as well as Dexterity and Vitality. Thanks to the combined “Close and Medium-Ranged Spacecraft’s Maneuvering Skills”, the finish is somewhat unique, but also kind of dissatisfying.
「You managed to get in touch with Python?」
「Yeah, but she only said that “You guys will have your work cut out for you”. Dunno what that supposed to mean.」
「…… This means that the “work” is coming our way! Gazelle! Rhino! We have company, so show them some hospitality!」

We were talking about this really casually here, but perhaps even at this very moment even if we were to erase a thousand units like that every second, we would still be unable to come out on top when it comes to the sheer firepower. Especially since we are the way we are now, and our enemies are three meters long armored giants with synthetic muscles that are more flexible than human muscle at the same time being way harder than any metal. Yeah, and a whole swarm of those things was currently closing in on our location.

「So, they are enemies that you cannot possibly hope to hurt unless you possess an aircraft carrier-like levels of damage, huh?」
「Don’t say it with that tone of voice, Wolf…… It’s breaking my heart, almost literally.」
No, no, no! It’s too early for us to give up! Fox! Wolf! If only we have a sudden awakening of our latent powers and learn skills that packs a battleship-levels of punch…… Yeah, right. Like that’s gonna happen.」
A muscular drone that looks just like a mixture of a bear and gorilla and is heavily armored slowly raises its arms…… and then swings it down at an incomparable speed! Super-fast and super-powerful move that would surely result in a checkmate should it reach its mark!
「Nice bodies you have there, fighter drones. Care to have a little wrestling match to give those muscles a spin?」
「Alright Rhino, let’s make one thing perfectly clear here: I’m the kind of character who excels at speed and agility, so that means that you would have to be a pure Power Type. Is that okay with you?」
「Yeah, works for me just fine. I know a bunch of power moves from the early 21st century manga that I have read. I’ll send them flying as many times as it takes! Eighty percent of my power should be more than enough here!」
「Dude, give this thing that additional twenty percent and let’s just be done with it!」
「Gee, thanks for the words of encouragement, I guess! And now! Time for the main dish! Security Doll Loosening Punch!!!」
The big arm that was swung down was at us never managed to reach its mark. Instead, it was blown away in an instant, alongside with a few other drones who started to crumble down like knocked down bowling pins.
The icon displayed above the muscle drones has changed to the color of our side, replacing the color of their previous owner…… Ah, I see, who would have thought that they might have a weakness like that?
「Oh wow, does that mean that we can win this simply by using shields and moving forward?」
「Hmm, yeah, about that. Do you wish to hear the bad news? Because we have multiple Terraton-Class ships heading towards your location.」
「Not that I did not see it coming, but we’ll listen to it all the same!」
「Yeah, I think that their number oscillates at around hundred or so?」
No way! That has to be a lie! I mean, it’s way too heavy of a force, no matter how you look at it! Even NPCs should not be able to flock like that!
And so, once we started to see the new drones flooding into this place, we could not help it but to smile and laugh at just how perilous our current situation seemed to have become!
「Oh, wait a moment! If they are the same type of drones, you might be able to beat them by cutting off their energy cables on their backs! I mean, if you think about it, artificial muscles are only cables and pumps!」
「But that means that breaking them apart is out of the question……」

Although a weapon like that has an irreplaceable limitation that is the length of the blade, the fact that you can place absolute trust in its sharpness means that you can completely ignore the Vitality of the other party.
It slips through the inseam of the muscle drones and easily rips their muscles to shreds, which was surprisingly easy thanks to their sheer size. Of course, I was not going to wait with making use of that weapon……
