However, both Rei and Survival were already swinging their weapons down on the metal scorpion the moment it reappeared into the real word and was unable to warp back right away. …… Good to know that the nerf was applying to the boss character as well. Now we don’t need any extra verification for this exact purpose.
「If you know what to expect before it happens, then you can try to ambush this thing no problem!」

CLAAANNNGGG!!! The pincer attack by the knight wearing oddly-shaped armor and the STR-focused Survival shoots for the left and the right side of the Metal Scorpion, effectively locking it in place for a moment. Using that power and acceleration I was easily able to get onto the mechanical scorpion’s back, not letting go of the target that was already in my sight. Just a little bit closer, just a little bit more…… NOW!

The feeling of the Blade of the Whirlpool hitting something hard is so distinct that you couldn’t mistake it for anything else in this world. Tough. This is really tough. If I were to describe that enemy in one word, it would surely be just that: tough.
Sure thing, it had its share of weaknesses, but it wasn’t all-purpose, something that could be utilized at any moment to keep the upper hand on our side all the time. But even if it was like that, surely it would have been tough all the same…… Mainly because this bastard was able to absorb the contents of our INVENTORIES, which gave it this emergency “Get Out of Jail Free” card to use every once in a while! And I don’t have to remind you that in a battle like that the power to momentarily disappear and reappear once more is almost equal to cheating. And even if we were able to destroy some of its weapons or armor parts, it would simply load up some of the other ones that were still available to it and simply replace them like that! And above all else, the finishing touch in here was that a certain two idiots in our party decided that this would be a great opportunity to try some of the freshly bought weapons instead of sticking to good and battle-proven items! If you want to take weapons for a test drive, do so with the regular mobs, not a boss character, god damn it!
