ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 651: Rampaging Until It Exploded Part 2

I don’t know how he managed to get here or when exactly he managed to do it, but all of a sudden the Professor out of all people appeared in front of us, and started to support Rei-san right away. Applying all sport of buffs to her, he was able to take some of the pressure from Rei-san for a moment, something that she really needed here. Also, two other players joined the battle right after that, and from the look of it they were the two front liners who went in the opposite direction from us with the Professors group not so long ago. That is really great, because a simple math can show you that from now on the burden that was resting on Rei-san and my shoulders would be lifted. And it would be whooping half of that burden disappearing! …… But wait a moment, no! Those guys are “Library”, correct? Do they even possess some abilities that would be required from front line fighters?

Just then, there was huge sword made out of flames that flew from behind us and flew straight towards the Attacking Bear, striking against it and exploding in bright flames that continue to further hit it, adding more damage to the fire pile. Now, if we could only get more and more people to join us (with about four people in the frontline and the six other players supporting us) we should be able to take this monster down in no time at all! It’s a simple calculation, really.

Whoa there, that was just rude! I had no idea you were actually lurking under the ground in here all this time, eel-lizard-kun! No, no, no, no, I apologize! I mean, I might not really look as if I am apologizing, but I can assure that this is……Oh yeah. That’s right.

While doing my best to escape from the explosions of the Swimming Mines that started to self-destruct en-masse, I confirmed that this level of aggro was a little bit too much for me to handle at the current moment, so I activated “Utsuro Mikagami” to start solving that issue.

Was that explosion just now from the Explosive Green Peas Sis? Or were you here from the beginning? Or maybe…… Oh, wait, are more of those things resurfacing now……?

「Aren’t those things coming from down below or something!?」

「I can neither conform nor deny that! It’s something truly unprecedented! I mean, I just have a bad feeling to see the “mouth ” this whole Dominator Grizzly! So I guess it would be wise for us to keep the Swimming Mines away from it at all cost!」

A mouth? Indeed, Attacking Bear’s mouth is really atrocious. And the inside of its mouth is covered with something of the same quality as the outer shell. It’s not surprising that it’s biological, but when you look at the battles so far, its movement is probably similar to the movement of the mouth of a bear trap…… Which would make this monster a bear-type robot. Well, not that its surprising, since this is a game and all. I was actually expecting something like that.

Now, what the hell is wrong with…… Ooohh, the eel-lizard. Of course.

Ohh, how about trying to kick it? You know, so that it would fly straight towards the Attacking Bear? …… hh, nice catch! And at this rate?

「Ohh! I’ve seen that kind of thing before! But it was with wooden bear figurines, not the actual bears.」

Let’s change the head equipment to that salmon head really quick.

「You know, I do realize that bears eat salmon, but for a salmon to eat bear or an eel? That’s actually a first! Quite unacceptable, if you wanted to know my opinion……」

Yes, the freshness and speed are something that would fit more into a one-shot story, I know…… Well, I wish that Mold could be hear, for he would certainly start rolling around on the floor if he was to hear that. I don’t know about other players out there, but I am sure that my gag-sense is nothing short but a first class for sure! An eel (lizards) are certainly something that neither bears nor salmon would scoff at if they were given the opportunity to eat them.

The Players are all wary of the bamboo bear as it now begun to prey on the eel-lizards in the distance. Doing something like that during the battle…… It’s hard to think that it’s just because the Attacking Bear’s side is at a disadvantage and it’s just that they’re hungry. There has to be a reason why it stopped its counterattack and started to eat instead.

If there is something that my Gamer sense is telling me, it would be that this is a sign that some sort of powerful attack is incoming…… Or maybe a second form……

And then my prediction basically turned into a conviction the very moment when the Dominator Grizzly, who for the time being was really busy with gnawing and chewing and swallowing the lifeless corpses of the Swimming Mines, even those who managed to self-destruct already, ejected countless bamboo spears from the inside of its body, effectively crushing to dust any remnants of armor plating that it might have had left. It basically looked as if it turned into a pin cushion, but the pins were actually coming from the inside of its body.

「What the hell!? It creates explosions inside of it body that serve as propellers for the bamboo spears!? What kind of a fucked up logic for a ranged attack is that!?」

「Geh!? Not good! We are going to die! We are going to die! We are going to die! We are SO going to die here at this rate!!!」

「What an optimistic assumption! You are assuming that we are not going to be dead right here right now!?」

「That really pack a whole lot of impact when someone like Tsuchinoko-san is saying that! Aren’t you basically used to committing war crimes at that point in time!?」

「Hey, why is it that the very first thing that comes to your mind when it comes to me is war crimes!? You think that’s funny or something!? Because just so you know, it’s not! That’s not funny!」

「Uwah, scary! That was seriously a scary expression right about now! I knew that Tsuchinoko-san can be scary when they want to be, but seriously!!」

Ohh, this sucks. Now I’m starting to actually feel sorry for scaring someone like that for no apparent reason. Hmm, maybe I should start taking this battle a little bit more seriously?

Thinking that, I took out the Indigo Holy Grail and specified the statistics that I wanted to have swapped for the current moment: Strength and Luck are going to swap their values! Normally it would suck that I needed to sacrifice my Luck stat, but at the moment I need to be a Power type more than anything else!

「Exploding Green Peas Sis, I need some time to earn myself some kills!」

「I mean, it’s okay with me, but are you really sure that you will be able to handle all that!? It’s a pretty heavy physical job, you know!?」

「Oh yeah, I’m fairly sure that I can do this! And how? Just like this! Watch and learn! “Exceed Charge”!!!」

Saying that, I take out the Hundred-Legged Centipede Shiki Eight-Zero Point Five Thousand and direct it at the incoming Swimming Mines. This way, I can earn enough kills in about ten seconds or even less!
