「The floor boundaries of a dungeon can be broken…!?」
The scout muttered behind me.
There are quite a few records of attempts to excavate dungeons. Everyone has that idea pop into their head at least once because they know that they can conquer the dungeon by heading straight down.
The idea that if you dig down from the first floor, you’ll eventually reach the bottom floor.
All of their attempts failed as they were blocked by hard bedrock when they dug into the floor about waist height. It is now common knowledge that “the dungeon floor cannot be destroyed.”
「Again.」
I broke through that boundary which was supposed to be unbreakable.
「Impossible… After all, even within the decoration party, I heard Marge is a luggage car– Ah, no, I mean…」
「My master has already retired from the Divine Silver Sword.」
「I-Is that so?」
「Gossip is fine, but please see it with your own eyes and think for yourself.」
「…!!」
「Again.」
I slammed the black whirlpool shell. The strong shell cracked the floor each time and broke the boundary that should be unbreakable further downwards.
It may have something to do with the fact that I am using the “General” born from the dungeon as the tool. I’m probably the only person in history who used the brute strength of a god and the fierce winds of the Age of Gods to smash down a conch shell that could easily be mistaken for a mountain. Or, it is also possible that the fact that the approaching “Dungeon Break” has something to do with it.
Regardless of whatever the logic, I just felt like I had to hurry.
And so I tried it.
And succeeded.
That’s all.
「Again.」
「Again.」
「Again.」
「Again.」
「Again.」x30
Floors of water, floors of fire, floors of forest… The six arms that had been smashing their way through various environments suddenly felt no response.
「Oh.」
It seems that the black shell finally broke on the 52nd floor. At the same time, the Snare Snail died and disappeared.
「Master, what happened?」
「It seems like it hit a different bedrock compared to the others.」
I thought it was due to fatigue from being hit repeatedly, but apparently that’s not the case. It seems like it couldn’t survive hitting a particularly harder bedrock.
Considering the number of floors that have passed through, this harder floor must be–.
「It’s the bottom floor.」
A black floor was visible far down the hole. The “King” of this dungeon was over there.
The female scout peered down the hole as well, and fell on her butt in fear. Koe-san extended a hand to her, but she was just too stunned.
「Humans can’t run on water. Humans can’t fly. Similar to that, this should not be possible…」
「What’s your name?」
「It’s Mello. Mello Brandy.」
「Mello-san, you said that humans can’t run on water. If he puts forward his left leg before his right leg sinks, he should be able to run on water.」Koe.
「That’s practically…」
「But it’s not impossible.」
There is a very big difference between “impossible” and “practically impossible”. I simply stepped over that boundary.
「We don’t have much time. Koe-san, let’s go.」
「Yes, master.」
We jumped into the hole. I descended while freezing the water that was pouring down from the water floor with Cocytus so that we wouldn’t free fall to the bottom floor.
「[Asura’s Six Arms], activate.」
I used two to protect Koe-san and made a soft landing with the other four.
I had already scanned the surrounding space. There was only one single creature in this space. I brandished the half-snail shell at the “King,” who took the form of a giant toad. I clad the surface of the shell with ice to sharpen it. Much, much sharper.
It seems that the “King” was upset by us breaking through the ceiling. That powerful presence was shaking greatly.
「Let’s do this.」
It must be the pride of a “King”. I slammed my ice spear, which had grown to about twice its size, into the giant body that was approaching with tremors on the ground.
