CHAPTER 102 – NIGHT CRUISE

***ERIK’S POV***

The night’s ocean breeze felt refreshing, as the Royal Navy Ship Victoria was sailing smoothly on the calm surface. Usually cruising like this was relaxing, but this time it was more infuriating than anything else. My son would not listen and even let that girl get away. Tsk, he is still a brat and cannot see the potential she holds as an asset to the country. And if she gives birth to the child, that kid might even end up stronger than its parents.

I was finally able to use this excuse to go on a family bonding trip to search for Naoko-chan. My plan is to visit Orzak and hope she is there at that time. If she is not, there is always another excuse that will allow me to stay there while I wait for her to come back. But from what I heard she is always somewhere nearby and comes back to town every night, so finding her shouldn’t be that hard.

I decided not to say anything and let him be in charge.

“Ishikawa, climb up and look for anything unusual, Nakamura calm the waters and prepare for an attack. Leave the wind to me.”

“Understood!”

Without batting an eye, they went to complete the assignments. The two bodyguards seemed to have shown the biggest improvement from arriving here until today. I gripped my sword. If there is a battle, I will not cower in fear. The sailors already filled the cannons and were ready to strike the moment Vitou gives the sign. Taichi unsheathed his twin swords and the temperature around him dropped considerably.

“Your Highness, please wait! Its status says it is tamed. It could be someone’s pet.”

“That person is nowhere near, is he? I bet that person is long dead. Didn’t you say that it is over three thousand years old? Besides, this thing might be dangerous if left alive. Listen to me, men. On my mark. Three, two, one… FIRE!”
