CHAPTER 195: THE LABYRINTH DUNGEON?

Everyone was staring at me with their mouths wide open. Honestly, there is absolutely no need to look at me as if was insane; I mean we are on a tight schedule. How do they expect me to be able to level up to any decent level if we don’t keep a high speed clearing pace?

“Nao-chan, that was a good joke. Going into a dungeon for more than a few days is suicide. You can’t sleep or relax while inside a dungeon since monsters can appear at any moment literally out of thin air. Moreover, one floor per day is impossible. The size of this dungeon is not something similar to the one near your inn in Orzak.”

“All of you are free to go back at any time. In the first place I didn’t plan on clearing the dungeon in a party and only agreed afterwards.”

I should have known that they would be against this. Diving into a dungeon for a week or longer without a break to restock outside was something against common sense here. But then again most things I did were considered abnormal and lacking common sense. I honestly don’t know why they are acting so surprised.

“Wait, wait! How can you be so selfish? You do know that this is one of the three great dungeons of Elicia? Even if you are strong, you shouldn’t be reckless to enter it alone.”

He was annoying. Just because you wouldn’t go in does not mean others wouldn’t. I simply turned around and went for the entrance not bothering to argue further. If they are too afraid they don’t have to enter.

The others followed although they kept on grumbling. When I passed the boundary I was immediately stunned. The environment changed in an instant and I was inside a small cavern that led onto large grasslands which I could see no end to.

I got the notice about the dungeon. Rare ranked one, this is troublesome. I should expect twenty to thirty floors that will need to be cleared. Let’s just hope that the monsters would give a lot of experience.

“Nao-chan, we need to be careful, this dungeon jumped in rank. Last time I was here it was uncommon (S), even the information at the guild said that it was rare (D) rank. No matter how I look at it, something must have happened and the dungeon became more dangerous.”

“It makes no difference to me Vitou, even if it was legend rank dungeon I would still dive into it. So are going or not? I can sense several dozens of monsters running here. This layer is quite compatible with my abilities, so let’s make the best use of them and clear it.”

The effect of [Object of Desire] really showed its might here. Thanks to the map function I could easily find monsters and track their movements.

When I mentioned monsters approaching, everyone took their positions and prepared for battle. There was a huge area of oppression coming from all of us combined to a point where I actually worried the monsters might run away once they come closer.

“Geez, don’t be so tense. It is only a few dozen and they are all common mobs, merely Orcs. No need to panic.”

“Naoko-chan, I don’t think that anyone else aside from you would call C-rank monster a common mob.”

“Is that so? In that case do you mind if I go ahead and take them out before they even arrive here? I could use some warm-up. But I might not get to have any fun going against so little of them.”

I was kind of disappointed. I already have more than enough Orc materials and they wouldn’t give me much experience. It would take me at least two hundred to level up.

“Absolutely no way! You are not to move from this place, are you clear? Now how much until they arrive?”

“Tsk, no fun. They are about a one kilometer away, so you go ahead and calculate how long it would take them.”

Since they most likely won’t allow me to go out and fight I took out my bow. I’ll make sure to take them all out before they even arrive. I created the bowstring from mana and condensed a light arrow when I got an idea.

Just like I would enchant an item I tried doing that to the arrow. Since it had form, why shouldn’t I be able to enchant it? I imagined it having the attribute of death as it flew straight and unwavering unbothered by gravity or air friction. Soon the bright warm light turned colder and I could feel the sinister aura around it. Perfect, I can work with this.

I checked my map and pointed the bow at the area where there were most monsters and let the arrow fly.

“What do you think you’re doing Nao-chan, you can’t just…”

Oh, a hit! Isn’t this wonderful. The aim correction on the Crystal Magic Bow is really useful in this situation. Let’s go for exploding AoE arrow next

Several exclamations were made all around me, but I completely ignored them and condensed another arrow.

“Don’t tell me you plan on blindly shooting until you hit something. That shot earlier was pure luck.”

“Eh? Of course it wasn’t. I knew exactly where I was shooting. Plus this bow helps a bit. You said I couldn’t move, so this is the only thing I could do. Be happy, you’re not doing anything and gaining experience, but why is this place called Labyrinth dungeon? This is by no means a labyrinth.”

“It used to be one, but as I said it something is wrong and this dungeon changed. That is why we must be careful.”
“That is why I am doing this, once the monsters arrive it will be safer, so just relax and leech off of me while you still can.”
