Day 147 – Morning, Elven Forest

This forest is a checkpoint. Any monsters trying to move from this side toward the frontier are always stopped by the forest’s protection, and across the river, the Beastmen Country’s wall holds the opposite line.

What I was trying to do had already been done long ago, though now it’s been destroyed and rendered meaningless. Once, in the distant past, this forest was built to hold back and hunt monsters in order to aid the frontier. The Confederation had just nested in the gap between… yeah, now the lines connect.

From the Elven Forest to the river, fortress walls now stretch unbroken. On the opposite bank stands a cute, 「moe-moe」 Great Wall… the monsters are bound to be surprised.

And walls have two meanings: to keep things out and to keep things in. They let the frontier focus entirely on fighting
