Cecily bolted. She climbed down the ladder, moving from the rooftops into the government building, then dashed through the hallways and staircases at full speed. The streets outside were packed with agitated citizens, making it difficult to push forward, but she forced her way through the crowd and first made her way to the Campbell family’s barracks.

“Oh? What’s going on?”

“Cecily! Is the speech over already?!”

Ignoring the surprised looks on Fio and Lucy’s faces, she headed straight for a hanging shelf in the corner of the barracks. Two swords were displayed there with great care.

A rapier Infernal Blade and a chokutō. The former, needless to say, was the Infernal Blade Aria, while the latter was the sword Lisa had lent her when she went to the volcano. Lisa had told her to return it to its owner someday.
