Chapter 230 Part 3

《S3W1 now open!》
《5 Bonus Points added。26 Bonus Points in total.》
《【Blade】skill Level Up!》
《【Wind Magic】skill Level Up!》
《Obtained the 【Wind Magic】skill spell Fly!》
《【Resist Heat】skill Level Up!》
《Summoned Monster『Senki』Level Up!》
《Please allocate 1 Bonus Point to increase the value of the statistic of your choosing.》

5 Bonus Points? Now those are some generous numbers.
A number of my skills has also improved, so I can’t really complain about it.
And I also unlocked a new spell.
But before we’ll check it out, let’s finish Leveling Up Senki.
The stat that increased with the Level Up was STR, so we’ll complement it with an increase to VIT.

Senki Lesser Ogre Lv6 → Lv7 (↑ 1)
DEX 13
AGI 22
INT 6
STR 31 (↑ 1)
VIT 31 (↑ 1)
SPI 6
Skills:
Strike, Kick, Throw, Evade, Climb, Grab, Joint Lock (New!) , Self-healing [Slight]

Oh, now here’s something interesting.
Why would someone like Senki learn Joint Lock?

《Summoned Monster『Tigris』Level Up!》
《Please allocate 1 Bonus Point to increase the value of the statistic of your choosing.》

Wow, the information comes one after the other in a non-stop barrage without even giving me time to breathe.
Come on game system, give me some space here!

The stat that got increased was AGI, so the other to be increased will be VIT.

Tigris Storm Tiger Lv4 → Lv5 (↑ 1)
DEX 11
AGI 24 (↑ 1)
INT 11
STR 24
VIT 24 (↑ 1)
SPI 11
Skills:
Bite, Intimidate, Detect Danger, Night Eye, Resist Wind, Wind Attribute

Nice.
So, is it finally over?

When all the Leveling Up was finished, I checked the name of this place on the Wide Area Map.
A Solitary Basin, huh?
Well, now that we’re here it’ll be a good opportunity for a short break.
I want to establish an Instant Portal if I wanted to Log Out.

In any case, it sure was fortunate for me that the enemies weren’t any stronger, otherwise we might have had a serious problem if Teromea wasn’t here with us.
Okay, the date has already changed, so I think I can Log Out for now…. But maybe it’d be best to postpone that for the time being, since there are still some things that I’d like to check out.
Like that new spell, Fly, for example.

I have set up the Instant Portal just a short distance away from the actual Area Portal.
I took the folding chair form the 《Item Box》and sat on it.
Fly, a spell belonging to the Wind Magic category.
I wonder what’s it like?

Just as the name implied, it was a spell that allowed its user to fly through the air.
An interesting concept for a game such as this one.
The maximum flight time per cast is… 280 seconds.
Wow, just seconds?! And What’s with those numbers?! They are way too underwhelming!
And the maximum flight speed is… 131 km/h.
Why are those numbers so mediocre?
That’s a complete mystery to me.

Instead of being cast on self, it is targetable, so technically any member of my party can use it, up to 3 members at once, including those forming a Union.
Well now, that’s actually pretty convenient, considering that only two separate parties can form one Union at any given time.

Okay, now, let’s review the battles we have gone through by watching the battle record.
The one with Succubus, Incubus, Ghouls and Goras at first.
Oh, you can actually view the entire battle as long as you like, from different angles and even enable the battle mode to see what kind of commands were given and which spells were used?
So based on the footage I’ve seen, let’s try having a mock battle between my Summoned Monsters.
The combatants will be Teromea plus one more monster.
Next I called back Tigris and Shishiko and summoned their opponents.
Peptide and Naraku.
They will be fighting against the Incubus and Succubus we happened upon in the surrounding area.
Even if that match looks like it is heavily handicapped, both Peptide and Naraku cannot be beaten with special attacks alone.
Teromea is prohibited from flying, but allowed to use special attacks.
The first party to drop their enemy’s HP bar to 10% of its base value or below will be declared winners.
The time limit will be 10 minutes.
Since this will be a mock battle, none of my monsters is actually going to die.
The only spectators will be Volff and Senki, while I will be recording the entire sparring.
Alright. Everyone ready? Then let the battle begin!

Although I was recoding a video, I made sure to watch the actual battle as closely as possible so that I could gain a deeper understanding of how my monsters and their abilities operated.
The battle… is certainly flashy.
Very… flashy, almost to a cringy degree.
Did we always fight like this?

At first, Teromea launched one special attack after another.
It was a barrage of fireballs and wind blades, just like Obsidian’s water needles and Gengetsu’s balls of light.
The pair of demons did not remain passive.
Yu, no matter how you look at this, the situation could not be described as anything else but flashy.
And I’m loving every second of it!

The situation changed when one of Obsidian’s attacks hits the Incubus directly.
That one attack did more damage than the one did by a special attack.
Perhaps it had something to do with the battle length of the battle, or the change in Teromea’s fighting style, because it grabbed its mallet and started swinging it furiously while flying through the sky.

Good grief.
I couldn’t help it but to smile.

Gengetsu keeps shooting the balls of light as if his life depended on it.
Incubus avoided Obsidian’s next attack, only to be whacked in the back by Teromea’s mallet.
And it send him flying right towards the ground.
I’m having such a field trip with this!

Right now I’m experiencing first-hand that when the enemy is vulnerable, Summoned Monsters will make their own judgements to choose the action that best fits the situation they are currently in.
That’s something new to me, because usually I just leave them alone and don’t pay any attention to what they are doing, knowing that whatever they’re going to do, they will always come out on top in the end.
In other words, there’s no need for me to do any adjustments because my monsters are already doing fine on their own.
I guess I can keep giving them instructions from time to time, but as long as they will continue to do what they are doing now, there will be no reason for me to get worried about anything.

Now then, what about the match?
Is it time for me to call it a day and Log Out?
I think we’re running out of time.
Or is the match already over and I just didn’t notice?
Wait, it did?!
Really?!
