「Yay! My first win!」
「Looks like there’s really nothing to worry about.」
Well, of course. That was to be expected.
Everyone I was travelling with was a lot stronger than I was when I first fought those Deva Kings.
If I remembered correctly, the first time I fought them there were only four Summon Monsters I could have at a time.
Konohana only had to deal with the Deva Kings, and they were both at Level 2 too.
It could still get a lot more difficult.
I had a feeling Konohana could do just as well with more difficult enemies too.
「Well, I guess I’m next.」
「Do your best! You can do it, Hyodor!」
「Use your Weapon Artes well too, okay!」
The next one to challenge the Deva Kings was Hyodor.
What did his Summon Monster team look like?
His team consisted of a White Wolf, a Mystic Eye, a Beast Ape, an Imp, and a Chimera.
I had a feeling he was going for the same strategy that Konohana was going for, but I had a feeling his Beast Ape could be a bit too weak to deal with the Deva Kings.
Since she didn’t have any support Summon Monsters like Konohana’s Lorelei, I knew that he was going to have a tougher time than Konohana.
All he could really do was use strengthening spells to boost his stats as much as possible.
So, how would the fight go?

Yeah, the GMs were really going easy on Hyodor.
Maybe a bit too easy…
That was fine, though.
Hyodor was quite proficient with a bow.
He dealt with the Deva Kings simply by attacking directly from the rear. He didn’t even bother to cast any spells.
He had Weapon Artes to help him out, after all.
Besides, he also had a trump card up his sleeve. In a pinch, Hyodor could always bring out his spirits too.
Keeping that in mind, Hyodor actually had a lot of freedom to do what he wanted.
Although from personal experience, I knew that those moments were the source of carelessness.
I was a little worried, but those fears were a bit ungrounded.
After some time, Hyodor’s White Wolf and Chimera did their best and finished off both the A-gyo and the Un-gyo.
I had a feeling that his battle lasted even shorter than Konohana’s battle.
Ultimately, the biggest difference was that Hyodor had Snipe Shot, which was a very useful Weapon Arte for his bow.
While I stood aside watching Hyodor take down the Deva Kings, it was amazing how easily he could shoot through the Deva Kings’ vital points.
All his arrows were either direct hits to the ears, or direct hits to the throats!
And certainly enough, as long as the target of the arrow was a vital point, the arrow could do a lot of damage, even if the attack power of the arrow was rather low.
The Obsidian Arrows were capable of dishing out a good amount of damage.
Nicely done, Hyodor.
「I guess I’ll go last?」
「It’s going to be okay, just fight like you usually would!」
「You can do it! Take them down, Haruna!」
Haruna was the last one to go.
What did her Summon Monster lineup look like?
She had a Mystic Eye, a Mud Golem, a Beast Ape, a Merrow, and a Nue.
It seemed a bit weak when it came to mobility, but it would be fine as long as the Summon Monsters in fighting in the front could maintain the pressure.
That all depended on Haruna’s support, too.

Yep, they looked just like I expected them to look.
It made sense for them to be the same difficulty as when Konohana fought them.
Out of the three, Haruna’s battle was the shortest.
Although the damage that her Summon Monsters team took was also the biggest, maybe because she spent most of the battle aggressively applying pressure onto the Deva Kings.
While her Mud Golem and Beast Ape pushed the Deva Kings around, the Merrow supported them with her song.
And it wasn’t just the tank Summon Monsters either, the Mystic Eye and the Nue were also piling all of their attacks on the Deva Kings.
In a way, they were a big part of why the battle ended so quickly too.
Because of that, Haruna’s MP bar didn’t change by much over the course of the battle.
「What’s next, Keith?」
「There’s another one I want to introduce to you… It’s in the hall. There is another pair of Deva Kings there.」’
「Are we going to fight against those Lion-dogs too?」
「Of course.」
Yep.
I was honestly more worried about how they would do against the Lion-dogs more than I was worried about the Deva Kings.
The Lion-dogs were fast.
There was always the risk that they would be able to attack the summoner in the rear without having to deal with the other Summon Monsters.
Well, that didn’t really matter in my case.
There was a line in front of the Deva Kings, so I decided to start by tackling some Lion-dogs myself.
It would be good to show them one fight before letting them try it out for themselves too.
I was wondering if it would even be helpful for me to take that role, but before I was done thinking about it, the initiative was taken away from me.
「I’ll go first!」
Adele raised her hand.
Yep.
Well, that wasn’t too bad either.
What did Adele’s Summon Monster team look like?
Her team consisted of a White Wolf, a Wrestler Ogre, a Golden Fox, an Imp, and an Orthros.
She was really going all out.

The two Lion-dogs looked like they were going to be difficult…
But I was sure it wouldn’t be a problem for her.
I was definitely more afraid of the Orthros in Adele’s team.
In any case, what did the battle look like?
It was very aggressive.
I did cast on Adele’s team the strengthening spell Gravity Mail, but Adele still pushed forward with an amazing amount of energy.
Well, the fighting style suited Adele’s personality a lot, so it didn’t feel unnatural.
「They’re quite the speedy opponent… You’re going to want to be extra careful to make sure that they don’t get behind you.」
「Okay!」
「Alright, I’ll challenge them next!」
With their Summon Monster teams the same as when they took on the Deva Kings, Konohana, Hyodor, and Haruna challenged the Lion-dogs in the same order as before.
All three of them make good use of wall spells.
The levels of the Lion-dogs that they were fighting were also lower than the pair of Lion-dogs that Adele had to fight.
Of course, all of them won their battles.
It was quite funny, looking at how none of them tried to fight the Lion-dogs how Adele did.
Well, that was probably just a coincidence.
The Lion-dogs were guarding a gate, and I knew that beyond that gate were some hot springs.
But when we actually opened the gate, we saw a strange sight.
Split curtains?
There were split curtains, forming an additional two entrances into the hot springs.
The two split curtains had the characters for “male” and “female” written on them in large letters.
It looked like some kind of public bath?
「I heard that there were hot springs here, but to think it would look like this…」
「Hmm? Wait, you knew about this?」
「Yeah. I’ve never tried one of them before though.」
「Bathtime!」
So Irina knew about the place.
And Adele…
Save that enthusiasm for another time, Alright?
I knew how she felt.
In any case, it was time for the next enemy.
There were still the Guardian Tigers.
It was Irina’s turn to set an example for Konohana, Hyodor, and Haruna.
What was her Summon Monster lineup like?
Her team consisted of a Black Wolf, a Wood Owl, a Clay Golem, a Pixie, and a Nue.
Her team was a lot safer, and I was sure that the Guardian Tigers wouldn’t be able to get through Irina’s defences.
