Chapter 248 Part 1
「Good morning.」
「Oh, morning.」
I logged in at 2:30 am.
But even then, I was still the last one to arrive. Everybody else was already there.
They were planning on starting 30 minutes earlier?
You guys are too early!
It seemed like all of them were already waiting, spending the time doing some kind of production activity.
I called out to Hyodor, and watched him make arrows for a bit.
Yep, I wasn’t too surprised by that.
We had a big supply of Needle Dragonfly Needles, after all.
It was to be expected, actually, considering Hyodor’s choice of weapons.
I wanted to make some of those arrows myself, if I could get myself some free time.
Haruna and Konohana were knitting something together, but after they noticed that everyone was present, they put down their work.
In a similar fashion, Adele and Irina were making some kind of stew in a pot, but they stopped their work when they realised everyone had arrived.
「It’s a bit early, but should we start clearing the Twelve Heavenly Generals event?」
「Okaaay!」
「I did some research on the event, and I think we’ll do just fine.」
Irina’s hands were as quick as always.
Well, that was the usual for her.
It looked like everyone already had their Summon Monsters out and ready too.
Everyone looked fully prepared to tackle this last challenge.
I quickly decided on a lineup and summoned my Summon Monster team.
I chose Volff, Jericho, Florin, Naraka, and Telomere.
Well then. It was time to give it our best shot.
As usual, I wanted to go first to give everyone else an example of what the enemy was going to be like.
After I challenged the first of the Twelve Heavenly Generals, Adele and Irina would form a Union and try challenging it too.
After Adele and Irina were finished, Konohana, Haruna, and Hyodor would form a Union and do the same. At least, that was the plan.
Their Summon Monster teams were the same as when they were challenging the Deva Kings.
Well, the results were about as expected.
Since it would take us a little less than 10 minutes to move between each of the 12 halls, the movement alone would take us a little less than two hours.
Well, considering our starting time, I had a feeling we could probably finish a round before noon.
Of course, there was no turning back once we challenged the first of the Twelve Heavenly Generals.
「I think they’ll be of different strengths, but the basics won’t change too much. Well, you’ll see.」
With that last sentence, I challenged the first of the Twelve Heavenly Generals.

But something felt different.
Yep, the monster that accompanied the Heavenly General was different from usual.
There were five of those Battle Cocks.
They were definitely stronger than they were at my last challenge.
「True Practiced Spirit!」
I wanted to go all out on the new enemies.
I was quite surprised by my enemies, so I might have panicked a bit though.
「Yeah, as expected, half of the fight is not helpful to learn from at all…」
「Hey, at least you know now what kind of enemy that Heavenly General is going to be… It’s going to have the same weapon, just probably weaker, and the accompanying monsters will be weaker too.」
「It’s probably still going to be impossible to copy your fighting style though.」
「Leave that for later, Irina! Let’s take them down!」
Irina seemed a little unconvinced of my argument, but Adele didn’t care and started casting her strengthening spells anyway.
I was quite grateful for that part of her personality.
I also helped to cast some strengthening spells on their Summon Monsters.
It would be good to clear these enemies as quickly as possible.
When I defeated the Mekira, I realised that it had an item drop.

A weapon used by Heavenly Generals. Changes depending on the user’s power. Made of an unknown material.
The blade of the tip is unusually unpolished. In fact, looking closer one might realise that the tip is slightly translucent. The handle is jet black.
A strong weapon, but its durability cannot be restored.
I managed to get some sort of spear.
So first the Vajra Sword, then the Hammer of the Treasure Guardian, then the Light Quartz Dagger, and now a spear…
And as expected, it looked like it was also a weapon that had Attack Power and Power values that differed depending on the user.
Something like this would be quite good for Nias…
I had a lot of other weapons I wanted to try out, after all…
Mekira Lv.4

The enemies that Adele and Irina had to face looked a little like that.
Although there were 10 of those chickens that time, they were easily taken down by lightning strikes from the Nue before they were able to do anything.
The Mekira was also starting to get overwhelmed by the beast Summon Monsters in their team.
Once the Mekira fell to the ground, the Orthros and Nue started chewing it to death.
Like Shishiku, the Orthros and the Nue had the mystery skill Predator Fusion.
What would happen to them as they kept growing…?
Well, I was just grateful that Irina seemed calm at the thought.
Also, for some reason, their battle only lasted about three minutes.
It was a very short battle.
But that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing.

When Haruna, Konohana, and Hyodor tried challenging the Mekira, their enemies looked a little like that.
As before, there were also only 10 of those chicken monsters.
But as expected, they were stronger than when Adele and Irina fought the Mekira in a Union of two.
But the three of them had strong Summon Monsters on their team.
The two Chimeras and the Nue were very powerful.
In less than four minutes, all of their enemies were annihilated.
There was nothing to worry about.
Alright, that was good.
I suppose that meant we could speed up our pace a bit.
After the fights, our fighting strength would increase bit by bit too.
Haruna’s Viper levelled up and went through a Class Change to change into a Venom Python.
Konohana’s Beast Ape also levelled up and Class Changed to a Silverback.
Haruna replaced her Venom Python with an Imp.
Konohana followed suit, replacing her Silverback with a Wood Golem.
They were both trying to steadily train all of their Summon Monsters too.
On top of that, Haruna’s team had a Lion.
It was obvious that she was aiming for a Chimera.
We kept going.
The next part of the path would start to lead us around a giant circle with twelve halls containing the Twelve Heavenly Generals.
With the pace we were going at, I had a feeling we would be able to finish earlier than scheduled.
General Basara Lv.5

There were four Hell Hounds. More than last time.
I was up against an undoubtedly mobile team of monsters.
But Jericho could take care of them with ease.
Jericho liquefied and trapped all of the Hell Hounds one by one, crushing them all.
Huh? What was that?
Why did I have the time to watch Jericho kill the Hell Hounds?
I had the time to watch Jericho because I was doing a standing naked choke on General Basara. All I had to do was wait for my spell Heat Body to finish burning it to death, while I focused on applying pressure to its neck.
I was thinking of burning the Hell Hounds too, but that wouldn’t go as smoothly as I hoped it would.
They had the Fire Attribute, after all.
It would take me too much time to finish them that way.
