When she appeared no one knew. She casually walked between everyone and knelt down next to Abura. Shaking her head the aggravation she felt from having to flee from that blonde-headed warrior came out in a fit of rage.
“How disappointing you turned out.”
*Thud thud thud*
Reya stomped repeatedly on Abura’s corpse crushing it into a pile of mush. After around 10 minutes of this, she finally stopped and took a step back. Sighing inwardly her eyes fell on everyone and she coldy asked once more.
“Did you all not hear me? Who killed my pet?”
No one answered. During her whole stomping process, they were reminded of both her brutality and strength. Each one of her stomps caused the ground to tremble as they penetrated Abura’s chest with ease. The same body that they could basically do nothing against. Only leaving minor wounds left and right. The ice blade Danny made was seemingly the only weapon that could do anything against Abura’s tough body.
Danny dropped his sword silently into the snow. Because it was see-through, no one noticed it.
(If she sees me with this sword, I’m dead for sure.)
Reya scanned everyone over and could see that no one had made it out without injury. Each one of them was covered in wounds. All of them had holes etched into their bodies…all of them except Danny.
Reya could see that the only real wound he had was a few blisters upon his palm. She glanced back down at Abura’s body. Most of it was bloody fleshy mush but the part where his head should of been, the base of his neck had markings of cut.
(A blade was used.)
Reya noticed Asuna and Shin’s hands as well. Asuna had blisters on one of her hands and Shin’s was so bad that his hand was wrapped.
“So no one has to answer, huh?”
Reya’s body blurred and she appeared behind Shin and grabbed him by the nape of his neck, lifting him off the ground.
Shin felt a squeeze and felt the air rush out of him all at once. His feet began to kick about in panic.
“Since when did you all have the option of refusing me. I asked a question. Who killed the fat one?”
Danny felt a shiver run through him. Shin was suffering but Danny’s mouth due to fear refused to move.
Asuna barked in both anger and concern.
“Let him go!”
Reya tilted her head and smirked.
“Ho, the balls on you grew young lady. You dare bark at me bitch.”
Reya squeezed tighter and Shin’s face warped in agony, a shade of blue coming over him. He scratched and clawed at Reya’s hand but her skin was almost like iron and he only managed to break his nails off on her skin. At this point, though he didn’t care as the lack of oxygen made him desperate.
Asuna was stunned by Reya’s move but she didn’t back down.
“Your fat pet is dead. Without him, you definitely can’t find Kazuki. If you start killing us, then we will never help you look for Kazuki. SO like I said release him right now.”
Reya only tightened her grip more. Tears began to fall from Shin and foam came out of his mouth.
“Although it is a bit unfortunate to lose the round one, it’s not a total loss. I know exactly where Kazuki will be in the near future. Why should I continue to keep those who are not trustworthy and kill my things?”
(What, she knows where Kazuki will be? This doesn’t make sense. If she knows why is she still threatening us like this?… She must still need us for something then, a shield maybe? A distraction for Kazuki more like. If she kills Shin though she must know we won’t help her so then why is she doing this? Especially with her power, she could kill Shin right now but she’s asking us who killed him. Is she really looking for the culprit or…)
It was now that Asuna noticed Reya’s clothes. Her entire outfit was riddled and torn apart all over. Reya’s hair was completely disheveled and she was acting somewhat unusual.
(Did she get in a fight? With Kazuki?…No. If they fought then we definitely wouldn’t matter unless she still failed somehow. Did she run into someone stronger? Then her anger, it’s not about Abura but instead about her loss. She’s throwing a tantrum and were being caught up in it, is that it?)
Asuna stepped forward and bowed.
“It was me who killed Abura. He tried to eat us and so I had to defend myself. Please forgive me and let Shin go, he did nothing wrong.”
Reya stared down at Asuna but she didn’t let go. Shin finally could handle it no more and his body went limp and his mind went dark.
Asuna screamed.
“PLEASE LET HIM GO! IT WAS ME WHO DID IT!”
Reya refused to let go and a small yellow puddle formed underneath Shin. Reya was disgusted and thought about finishing him here and now.
“Unfortunately I don’t believe you. Since the real culprit won’t step forward, watch him die.”
Asuna couldn’t wait anymore. If Shin wasn’t released, then he would die. Her eyes met with Sam’s and the tow understood each other at once. Sam slowly inched closer and everything became quiet for barely a second before Asuna didn’t even think about her broken leg and leaped at Reya with everything she had.
Reya looked at her as though she were an idiot.
“Really. You really don’t know your place. An insect like you…Hmph.”
Reya’s body blurred once more and she delivered a solid punch into Asuna’s stomach.
*Crack Thud!*
The sound of something breaking echoed out clear as day. Asuna mouth filled with blood and as she was knocked back, she spit all of the blood up, directly into Reya’s eyes.
Reya wasn’t disgusted by this though and instead relished it, licking some of it that s[pilled down her face with relish.
“Mmm, your blood has a nice flavor.”
Lost in her own delight, Sam came up from behind her and grabbed her arm, and with everything he had he twisted it with his all.
Just as Reya’s arm turned about 20 degrees, Reya smiled and her arm stopped in place. She liked the strong ones like Sam the most. They were the most fun to break. She was about to backhand Sam when something appeared out of the corner of her eye.
“RAHHHHHHHHHH!”
Danny didn’t know how he managed to do it but his body moved forward step by step. As soon as he saw Asuna move, something inside of him forced his feet forward. Sam grabbed at Reya and Danny had already leaped up into the air. The ice sword in his grip, the move he used earlier flashed inside his mind and his body began to rotate without thought. As the sun gleamed off his frozen blade, he extended his arm and relaxed his grip for a split second before fixing it and swinging in one smooth fluid motion.
(CUT FOR ME!)
Reya watched this with some interest. Seeing a 3rd stage brat trying to cut her flesh made her laugh inwardly.
(Maybe if you had a magic tool like that Muteki bastard but a blade simply made of ice, bwahahaha! Let me see the face of pure panic you will make when your blade snaps apart when it touches me. Maybe I should just catch it in mid-air and turn it on him. That would be fun too. Playing with these weaklings after encountering that blonde bitch, this is just what I need.)
Reya saw Danny and his movements were slow in her eyes. If she wanted to, she could easily move out of the way and circle him a dozen times before he could finish his cut. Reya chuckled inwardly and rose her hand up to catch the blade. Just as the blade about to touch her fingers, Danny’s wrist flexed and the blade accelerated.
*Shcink*
Reya’s eyes widened as three of her fingers flew off from her hand.
(This blade, how?)
Reya’s feet moved and she jumped backward several feet. At the same time she as she jumped backward, she delivered a kick to Sam who was still hanging onto her and in anger, she threw Shin at Danny.
(Bastard! Go cut your friend instead!)
Danny’s vision was filled with Shin’s body but he knew he couldn’t stop his blade. Danny’s body continued to rotate and he was a mere inch or so from severing Shin’s body in half. Danny could only release his blade as he collided into Shin’s limp body.
Danny’s blade went flying off somewhere in the distance while he and Shin crashed hard into one another.
Crashing into Shin at this speed, the wind was knocked out of Danny and the two fell to the ground. Shin was unconscious but he was already coughing and hacking as hard as he could as air shot into his lungs like an electric shock.
Danny held Shin in his arms and glared viciously at Reya. The fear he had, as time passed became less and less. Especially when he looked at Reya’s hand. several fingers were now missing.
Danny slowly laid Shin onto the ground and got up. He wasn’t very tall but right now he felt as though he were a hundred-foot giant. He took a step forward and was about to say something when Kimi grabbed his hand. She fell to her knees and dragged him back to the ground with her. Pressing her head on the ground, she shouted as loud as she could.
“FORGIVE US!”
