Etora and Fera exchanged a single punch that shook the world and cracked the ground beneath their feet. The resulting shockwave threw Kazuki and the others backward.
Meanwhile, Etora knocked Fera backward but she quickly encircled that green energy around her body.
“GRAVITY!”
Fera changed the gravity around both her self and Etora. She made herself heavier and regained her lost balance while reducing Etora’s weight to throw him off balance. Etora began to float into the air but before he was thrown away into the sky he transformed into his wolf form. His weight instantly increased with the transformation of his body and he came crashing back down. Swiping his paw he smacked Fera who was now heavier into the dirt and pinned her beneath him. With a bark, he spoke.
“Kazuki! I can destroy her body but she’ll keep coming back! Take this opportunity and run while I have her pinned!”
Etora’s words sent a ripple into Kazuki’s mind and he sprung into action. Just moments ago he had been standing before death and he had in a small way excepted it. Not because he wanted to but because it was futile to resist such overwhelming power. Now that he had a second chance and life was before him, Kazuki’s heart beat wildly in his chest as he turned around and ran.
Fera snapped seeing this. The lightning in her eyes shot out and struck Etora in the chest but this electricity was less than a tickle to his tough flesh. Opening his mouth he consumed it all in one gulp. Fera knew she couldn’t break away quickly enough and so she commanded Reya.
“KILL HIM!”
The wings on Reya’s back extended behind her and she and the other two Azirian’s flew forward at their fastest speed.
Etora tried to stop them but this time it was Fera who wrapped her metallic rock arms around him and held him in place.
“Damn you! Everyone! Block them so Kazuki can escape!”
As Reya and the others quickly approached, Asuna and the others stepped in.
Asuna eyes glowed purple and she stretched out an arm towards all three of the Azirian’s.
“LOCK!”
In an instant, all three Azirian’s froze in place but Asuna couldn’t hold such creatures for long.
“Hurry! They’re breaking free from me!”
Sam ran forward his body blurring as he raced ahead. Footlong dark green spikes formed all over his Heisho armor as he barreled into one of the Azirian’s like a train.
*Bang*
The two collided like metal crashing into metal. Sam’s spikes dug deeply into Azirian and tore its flesh all over, severing dozens of legs and arms but that wasn’t enough. The Azirian retaliated by stretching dozens of arms around Sam like an octopus and entangled him. No matter how many arms Sam cut off, the Azirian simply regenerated and kept trying to encompass his entire body. The two were at a stalemate where one was cutting relentlessly and the other was regenerating and wrapping him up.
Reya and the other Azirian trembled as they finally broke free of Asuna’s spatial grip. The two were too much for her to hold and her power was broken.
This is where Kimi and Nunully stepped in. Using a move they’ve tried in the past. Nunully created hundreds of ice mirrors in the air and aimed them accordingly. Kimi pointed her palm to the sky and fired a beam of concentrated light at said mirrors. The light bounced from mirror to mirror, amplifying n the way before firing down, directly into Reya’s as well as the other Azirian’s eyes.
*Pop*
Their eyes fired and popped like popcorn and melted away. This wasn’t enough though. The Azirian’s felt no pain from such a blow and continued to race forward. This should have been enough to at least blind them and slow them down while their eyes healed but after fusing, Reya and the other Azirian now had thousands of eyes all over their bodies.
Kimi only now realized her mistake and fired a solar flare into the sky to try and blind all of the eyes at once. One of the Azirian’s trembled for a second as all of the eyes on the surface of its body were all fried at once, stunning it for a brief moment. Reya though wrapped her wings around her body for protection and completely avoided this attack. Kicking off the ground she accelerated faster.
Kimi changed her attack once more. As soon as Reya revealed her face, Kimi shot a concentrated laser beam right at Reya’s head intending to explode it as she did the other Azirian’s. Reya didn’t try to dodge and let the beam strike her. A chunk of Reya’s head fell inwards and appeared as though she were injured but nothing more. Now that Reya had fused with thousands of other Azirian’s her exterior became stronger than ever before. Kimi’s attack didn’t work.
Reya extended several arms and turned them into fleshy blades. She kicked the ground and pivoted, instantly her direction changed and she went for Kimi. Whether to take Kimi as a hostage or just because Reya was pissed at all of these annoying attacks coming at her, Reya aimed for Kimi.
Kimi felt her heart in her throat and tried to retreat but her speed was nothing compared to Reya’s.
“Not yet!”
A wall of ice 10 feet thick and 100 feet tall formed in front of Kimi just as Reya approached.
Reya crashed into the wall but with a punch, she tore through it. Nunully changed the ice wall and made the entire thing collapse on both Reya and the other Azirian, burying them under 10’s thousands of pounds of ice. Nunully then grabbed Kimi as well as Asuna and with her ice wings extended, she flew into the air.
Reya and the other Azirian broke out from under the ice in seconds but Asuna, Kimi, and Nunlly were already prepared.
“LOCK!”
Asuna roared out with all of her heart and both Reya and the other Azirian were locked in place. They were quickly breaking her power though but Nunully already had her back.
Hundreds of ice spears, each one over ten feet long, as tough as metal and sharpened to a razor’s edge all came raining down atop the two.
*Schink Schink Schink Schink Schink Schink Schink Schink Schink Schink*
These spears pierced the Azirian’s all over and continued downward, steaking them to the ground. By the time Nunully was done, Reya and the other Azirian looked more like overgrown porcupines than monsters. Purplish black blood flowed from the two like an overturned trough and the ground sizzled as their combined blood soaked in.
At the same time, Asuna’s golden hoop was hovering in the air above.
To finish it, Kimi aimed for the golden hoop and her bracer lit up with golden light.
“BEAM OF LIGHT!*
Her light was amplified and the heat from her attack rose until it was as hot as the surface of the sun. This laser of light shot through the golden hoop and disappeared, the very next moment the beam appeared. It had been split into two separate beams and was now directly in front of Reya and the other Azirian’s head.
Reya’s eyes widened before.
*GSUHOOOOOOOOM!*
The laser ripped through the two Azirian’s heads and destroyed them. At the same time, all of the ice pinning them to the ground vaporized from the heat of the beam and turned into steam instantly fogging up the area.
Nunully and the others could see nothing. With a flap of her ice wings, the steam was wisped away and everything below became clear. Down on the ground, two large bodies lay unmoving.
Nunully sighed in relief and looked into the distance. Kazuki was getting further and further away.
(He’s safe, I’m glad.)
“Nunully!”
Asuna screamed in Nunully’s ear, snapping her out of it. A large shadow had appeared before her, no not a shadow, a body.
Nunully tried to fly away but dozens of arms extended out from it and blocked all paths. Kimi desperately fired beams of light but her power was missing the head and only cutting away chunks that quickly regenerated.
Nunully instinctively formed a large dome around her and the others and with her will, she expanded it like a barrier and pushed the Azirian back, forcing it away.
With a single punch, Nunully’s dome shattered like glass and fell away.
With their vision clear they could now see the Azirian before them. The head was clearly still missing but it was still moving as though nothing was wrong. A second later, one of the heads atop its shoulder, moved to the center and became the central head. Seeing this, Kimi felt bitter as she realized what had happened.
“These things have more than a single head after fusing. We can’t just take out one head but all of them instead.”
“So you’ve figured it out.”
A mocking voice came from below.
Reya stood tall and was completely unharmed.
“What you thought you actually had me there. just before that attack hit me, I moved my head and replaced it with another on my body. Now that I’m fused with all of these brothers and sisters, I’ve become very hard to kill. It’s too bad, had you not used that laser on me earlier I might have fallen for it that second time. You used your move too early. Now it’s time to follow Master’s orders. I’ll be sure to show off his head when I return.”
Reya then changed direction and chased after Kazuki. Nunully and the others wanted to stop her but the other Azirian flew in front of them and blocked their path. It’s freakish arms stretched out and became sharper than metal.
At the same time, Etora and Fera were still engaged and so he couldn’t provide any help, and Sam as well was still entangled with the other Azirian.
The fight was not yet over.
