VOLUME 5: THE DAWN
PROLOGUE

King of Hell.

A man who creates a Hell where people kill each other, and enjoys watching them.

When I first met the man with this title, I didn’t really believe it. And who would? This man who was pretty much average in everything could not possibly be someone so sinister. I wasn’t the only one who thought that.

Yet, as the sceneries of madness and despair he painted with his own hands kept piling one after another, we gradually started to acknowledge him.

And so, he was given the label of “monster”.

That was when we fell into his trap, because that’s exactly where his deception lay.

You see, the greatest trick he ever pulled was to make the world believe that he was a monster.

That trick itself was simple, but he pulled it off so masterfully that there was no room left for doubt.

Well, that was his true speciality to begin with; the truth was meaningless in front of him. His true prowess was shown in the artificial plane. Once the battle was dragged into the world of lies, there was no one who could best him.

But that doesn’t mean that he is completely powerless in the face of absolute truth. He created his stratagems by stripping the truth of its sanctity, after all.

However, once. Just once, that man was powerless to do anything.

Too powerless to protect that one thing he wanted to protect at all costs.

Of course, he was having none of it. So he decided to turn that truth into a lie. He decided to drag the entire world into his own world of lies.

And so, he started to prepare.

But all this time, I’ve watched him work, come to understand his motivation. I know his capabilities and limits.

The most fearsome of them all: he loves no one.

Yes, he loves……………… no one.

But even so, I want to help him, to be of use to him.

And so, I decided to use that.

Death.

It is a tool most useful in controlling someone’s heart.

It has a tremendous emotional impact, so much so that a single death can be used to destroy worlds.

And so, I decided to take advantage of it.

I started to prepare.

Now, I wonder, would he be able to see through my deception this time?
