Return of the Fallen Volume 12 Chapter 133
Using a powerful beam of gravity and light, the Artifact was pulled toward Gardius at a rapid rate. Kazuki who was nearly there, now was actually chasing the Artifact. He used every power to his advantage and held nothing back. His speed was so fast that his body was being torn apart each step of the way but Kauzki did not care.
He pushed the pain to the back of his mind and grit his teeth and took it.
On one side, Kauzki was chasing while on the other, Gardius was racing forward to his prize. Several eyes fell upon the pair and the devilish greed within did not allow reason nor logic to flow properly. The surrounding Gods were clouded by what if’s and they bet their lives on this.
Fighting did not stop entirely but now, many changed their tactics and raced forward while still exchanging devastating blows. With the artificial Origin energy suppressing Chaotic space and sealing any tear that occurred, none held back.
Kazuki and Gardius ignored everyone else and only saw each other. Gardius had never suffered such humiliation, especially at the hands of someone so much weaker than he. His rage seemed to fuel him and his speed only got faster and faster. Flames colored in white and gold burst forth beneath his feet and the power of gravity, light, and darkness all combined to help accelerate him further, faster.
He still was not as fast as Kazuki with his Gauntlet but he was much closer to the treasure than Kazuki was. Still, at the rate he was going, Gardius would actually get to the treasure just before he would.
(I have to do something, anything to slow him. Just for a moment, a split second will do the trick.)
Kazuki was already traveling faster than light but he would still be too slow if something did not change. He wanted to tear open Chaotic space and with that gravitational force, it may just interrupt Gardiu’s own gravity for a fraction of time but this entire area was being influenced by the fake Origin energy.
As his mind raced, something came to him.
(I can’t go any faster but I don’t need to. I just need to disrupt his power briefly.)
Kazuki’s eyes glowed before his storage ring opened and he threw out something that was smaller than a grain of sand.
He was already moving faster than light and normally if he just threw something at this speed it would not surpass his current speed but who was Kazuki? He was someone who defied what one would classify as normal.
His very punch could already move at near-light speed and that was just his regular body. Kauzki’s ki had circulated at his fastest speed throughout his body. Adding aura strengthening on top of his already impressive aura, he added that into his throw. As his hand went forward, flames burned behind his closed fist accelerating his hand forward ever faster.
The power of lightning fused with flames and created crimson lightning. As soon as he launched this tiny object, with a thought, he entered this small object.
Gardius watched as Kauzki vanished before him. He was now on guard but he did not decrease his speed. His ring flashed causing his eyes to glow as he located a tiny object flying at the treasure at a speed he had never witnessed before. He already knew it was Kazuki and he knew what this increase in speed meant.
A look of shock mixed with rage was clear as day on his face.
His ring continued to glow as he tried to absorb all the nearby energy so that Kazuki could not use it to his advantage but it was already too late.
The tiny object was now an equal distance away from the Artifact as Gardius was. As soon as it made it this far, it immediately came under the effects of Gardius’s gravity beam. Gardius relished in this and tried to throw it off course but Kazuki had already achieved his goal.
The tiny grain-sized object suddenly expanded by several hundred quintillion times in an instant as a planet appeared. This was one of the small worlds Kazuki created and usually kept in his storage ring. He altered several billion Inscriptions on this tiny world, causing it to return to a size fitting for a real planet.
He didn’t stop there. Just as this world was falling under the power of Gardius’s gravity beam, several more objects came out of this world. All, just like the tiny world had their inscriptions changed and returned to their actual size. One moment the space between Kazuki and Gardius was practically empty. The very next moment, not only did a planet appear but so too did every single one of Kazuki’s Titan Golems.
Each one was either a third the size of a planet or nearly the exact same size as a full-sized planet.
Before Kazuki left for the Black gate he had been putting together his forces. Besides buying up many slaves, he also was busy working on his Titan Golems and Vajra ships. All in all, he had well over 50,000 of these Titan Golems. The surroundings suddenly became full in an instant.
Gardius already saw where this was going and it burned him as he watched Kazuki smirking in the distance.
The surrounding Gods were surprised as well but many were only surprised and nothing more. To them, Golems were mere toys, a hobby for boredom and entertainment, or used as servants.
Sure these were larger than any they had ever seen but so what they thought.
Many continued their attacks and basically ignored them but on the other side, Gardius quickly threw up a barrier around himself. Just as his barrier formed around him, it happened.
A single command from Kazuki activated within them all.
(Self-destruct.)
*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!*
Even without air for sound to travel, the force of this explosion disrupted the elements and sound could actually be heard in the depths of space.
Each of these Titan Golems had enough energy inside of them to destroy several Lower Realms. To a God, a single Lower Realm was absolutely nothing. They could easily destroy one with a mere thought. Adding everything up, these Golems were worth a few million Lower Realms exploding at once. Even this would normally be considered nothing much. Some weaker Gods could definitely fall victim to this blast but only if they were unprepared and were relatively close.
Even then, they would still be able to escape this relatively unharmed due to their Divine Soul weapons but, this explosion was anything but normal.
Contained within this explosion were Kazuki’s sword forms. Each and every one of his Titan Golems could use the sword forms and sever energy. Again, a few of these would do nothing to a God. After all, A single one of these upgraded Titan Golems was only a little stronger than a Demigod.
This should have merely rocked them and pushed them back a bit but…this was not a single sword-form attack from a single Titan Golem. This was a combined sword form attack by over 50,000 Titan Golems. This explosion could destroy millions of Lower Realms and so contained a severing energy equivalent to several million Lower Realms all at once.
Something in this universe happened that none had ever witnessed before. Kazuki’s kamikaze Golems, in one fell swoop killed several hundred thousand Gods at once.
The severing energy was equivalent to millions of Lower Realms. Most of these Gods simply could not defend against this without preparation. They had all completely underestimated these Titan Golems and so none had even a barrier up. Those that were too close, that had no guard up, this energy for the time it took to blink an eye, had their Divine energy severed.
This energy drilled directly into their Soul worlds and cut the connection between their soul trees and their cores. What was once singular, for a brief fraction of time was separated and severed. This meant that not only did their bodies take this blast directly but their soul trees took it directly as well.
Several hundred thousand Gods had their souls destroyed instantly.
It would have been more but the time it took for this sweeping attack to hit the first line so to speak, kill them and continue traveling outward, gave the onlookers quite a shock. Their reaction time was till that of a Gods. So the moment many died, their guards, their barriers, all their defenses rose up at once. They had never seen such an odd sight.
Golems exploding and actually killing a God. It was unheard of.
These Gods all hesitated for a moment as they tried to comprehend what just took place.
These Gods had hesitated.
Not only that but Kazuki’s explosion did in fact disrupt Gardius’s own attack. It gave Kazuki the edge and even though Gardius was still racing toward him, it was already over. Kazuki appeared in front of the Artifact and grabbed it just as Gardius arrived.
