Ahh, up until now I have failed to realize just how truly blessed I was all this time.

 

This is most probably because…… I mean, I am yet to even venture into the New Continent. I am also pretty sure that Saiga-100 has yet to do that as well, which means both of us would not release the lock on our level limits. So most probably we are both sitting on the Level Ninety Nine Extended, which makes us equal in terms of levels. And since Saiga-100’s level is not bigger than mine, this means that I cannot really use Whale Rabbit Moon’s full potential in battle against her.

 

Could it be all because I was doing nothing but down leveled builds over and over again? I cannot help it but wonder. Or maybe it has something to do with statistics? Could it be that although our levels are the same, Saiga-100’s stats are actually better than mine? That’s always a possibility. 

 

Well, I guess it is a shame that the Whale Rabbit moon could not be used here, as it would surely be of use in this situation. However, thanks to its characteristics, I could only use it effectively against the opponents whose level was higher than that I had on me. But this is exactly the reason why the verification processes do exist, and why I was about to perform one such verification right about now.

 

Was it my word, or maybe my thought? Regardless of what made the process kick into effect, Meiki started to change in order to show the entire world and whoever was watching here what its true abilities were like. All according to my will.

 

In the first place, “Meiki” has two other abilities besides the one that lets it combine with Kinsho into the shape of the Anti Blade Sword. One of them is, of course, “Meiki’s” own effect, an effect that I thought to be nothing but an industrial waste until about today’s morning. As long as it is treated as a “buff” ability, it would clash with Luukan’s scratch marks and cause me nothing more but strange cracks on my hands. Hence why I thought it to be a garbage ability that made no freaking sense whatsoever. But it was no longer that way. For this morning, I have managed to resolve that issue and find out what that thing really was.

 

However, Meiki also had another ability. This other ability allows the weapon to change its shape, depending if you wanted to use HP or MP for its activation. More specifically, if you manage to meet the right conditions, you can change the weapon’s shape into that of a dagger, a rapier, or a cutlass. Originally, it must have been assumed that the dagger ability would be the one to be used the most, since it was the easiest to trigger, but at the same time it was not all that good as the other two abilities…… Plus, the developers must have assumed that those abilities would be used in tandem with some other abilities that would boost its performance.

 

Let us demonstrate the final conclusions to everyone present, shall we? Now, what would the ability of this weapon really be?

 

It is something that manifests its true potential based on the successful critical hit. And depending on just how many critical hits you have managed to successfully land, the shape of the sword Meiki……

 

 

 

 

「No way! That’s impossible…… How!? How come you can use “Flying Slashes” without having the appropriate class and skill for that!?」

 

「Haha! There is! This is what I have been waiting for! A successful verification of my hypothesis! I knew it! I knew that if you manage to break their formation, “Sword Arts” will not fire as intended! They are basically useless!」

 

The current shape of Meiki allows the player to use “long ranged attacks”, even though it was a sword.

 

As it turns out, this is Meiki’s true ability. What’s more, it is something that belongs exclusively to that sword alone, and does not depend on Kinsho’s scabbard or anything else like that. As the weapon begins to change shape, I get a feeling that its performance here is going to be broken!

No here’s a fun fact about Meiki: depending on its shape, I am capable of delivering different kind of slashing attacks over a long distance. The rapier shaped Meiki fires off a long and thin projectiles with great penetrating power, ideal for armor piercing. The cutlass shaped Meiki fires off a crescent moon shaped projectile that covers a wide area of effect. And the dagger shaped Meiki fires off projectiles that are short and small, a kind of a pea shooter, but it can fire continuously and with many bullets all at once!

 

You should watch closely now, Saiga-100! You are about to find out that Sword Saints are not the only ones that can send their swords flying at their enemies! Because as it turns out, even a “lowly” Mercenary class like mine can do it just fine! And I shall prove it to you!

 

「I shall prove it to you, right here right now! Even in my previous forms, I was more than capable of Giant Slaying! You’d better believe it!!」

 

Just like the opposite of bright and hot burning flame, like a pale cold air in the middle of the night. I then raise my left arm that was currently being covered by a bluish aura, and then I thrust Meiki right into Saiga-100 with all of my might.
