After all, every field object right here is nothing more but an unprocessed rough crystal chunk. And it is precisely because of that fact that the shapes of those crystals are irregular and it is downright impossible to predict the angle at which the laser shot is going to strike them and at which angle this laser shot is going to be reflected further. Therefore, it may happen that they will all of a sudden fly towards you with no prior warning, and it seems that they will disappear when they will be reflected up to five times…… In other words, if they are not reflected five times, the laser that you avoided may bounce back at you again and again. Or rather, they will do that. And believe me, I know what I’m talking about here, since I have died to such an attack three times already.

「Alright, come right at me, you stupid Three-Way Laser Shot……!!」

If you always get in the same place, the same Crystal Scorpion is going to greet you. Emperor Scorpion, whose tail was cut off by me for those twenty prior runs, now has a pair of giant scissors in place of its stinger (and they are actually functioning as a laser turret, out of all things). Of course, those scissors were capable to shooting just as swiftly and just as deadly as the regular stinger, so the blasted thing was not handicapped from that in any sort of way.

SWOOSH! Something flies from the side of the Emperor Scorpion, and wraps around the scissors that are about to shoot the laser. Probably this bastard is utilizing the judgment of centrifugal force here, so that its “weight” can be separated from its main body. Yeah, you might as well go with spreading a bright yellow tape in here that reads “Keep Out” all over it.

「Beginning the restraining action, starting traction……Error, the difference in Strength is judged to be too great for efficient action to be taken.」
