Home to the Secret Technique of “Ashura Ren Zanshi”…… It is a technique that assumes that you are going to be using your own first like you would use a sword. It is something that possesses a huge offensive potential, but once your opponent manages to get behind your back you are primarily thrown into the defensive position with no possible way of switching into offensive ever again. That is why I cannot really use it in my current circumstances.

Home to the Secret Technique “Meteor Strike”…… It was honestly quite an interesting little thing, especially once I have discovered that it was actually some player that started this particular school of Martial Arts. However, upon closer inspection it turned out that this was actually a small scale cult started by none other than some of Silvia Goldberg’s followers. Now, I don’t really want to comment on that, but if you really force me to do it, then fine. It would be really bad if you could simply teach random people to act like the Real World Meetias and be able to do what Silvia Goldberg does. If it came to that I guess that Katsu, Amelia Sullivan and I would have had our job cut out for us. But still, the Real World Meetias is called Real World Meetias simply because her techniques are something that only she herself is able to pull off. That is why, since those are some special moves that are impossible to recreate for mere mortals, it is a technique that is of no real use to me.

Home to the Secret Technique “Fukurodataki”…… Just like the previous school of martial arts, it is a school that was started by one of the players. And while there is much truth to the doctrine the students of this particular school tend to follow, I left that place almost right away while trying not to cry…… that’s just how stupid, obnoxious and pretentious that thing was. Needless to say, it was something that would be of no use to me, not even in my current situation but in general.

Home to the Secret Technique of “Armored Kumite”…… Interestingly enough, at first I was under the heavy impression that this school would teach you the martial arts that required you to wear a full set of armor, but as it turned out such a fighting method was way too slow for my own taste, as it mainly operated around counters of various kinds. However, it was not all wasted effort. Some of the techniques taught at that school showed some degree of promise, like anti-weapons counters. So for now I would rate this school as of being of no use to me (*), with the (*) being that it would be worth my while to at least try and replicate some of the stuff they are teaching there on my own.

Home to the Secret Technique of “Seven Colors Iris Mortar”…… Yeah, it looks cool and maybe is even somewhat useful, but I do get a feeling that I would overlap with Katsu’s playstyle way too much, which is why I deem this school of martial arts inappropriate to me and forget about it as fast as I have learned about its existence in the first place.

It’s not that the martial arts schools that I went to were weak. No, it’s not like that. It’s just like a jigsaw puzzle. I needed a concrete solution for a concrete problem, and not every piece out there was fitting my needs. They might be similar, but that’s still not it. And I’m so close, I can feel it…… Just one more! One more piece of the missing puzzle and the picture is going to be completed!

This place right here is the outer wall of the frontline base, a place that in a certain sense has become the hottest battlefield in the entire New Continent as of late.

It’s a new raid boss that bears the same “Blue” designation as the ones from the Old World side of the map, possessing either the power or the gimmick to be able to wipe out a vast amount of players at the same time. And as for its looks, it resembles a blighted horse that spews deadly fumes all over the place.

Not to mention that the maximum number of participants in this raid battle is equal to one thousand people. However, it is not due to the fact that this particular raid boss is exceedingly powerful. No, it’s only because of its very specific and very annoying combat gimmick. And nothing more.

「Take a look at that, Emul. Judging from the way those guys look and their equipment, they must be fairly high-level, wouldn’t you agree?」

「They look like someone who has a whole lot of confidence in their abilities, aren’t they?」

Maybe it’s the type of equipment that is resistant to poison damage……? At least that’s what it looks like to me. From this place it is far too far for me to be able to spot the name tags of those guys or their status bars, but I can say from the way that they are carrying themselves that they seem to be pretty confident in their abilities. Maybe they are even potential future Heroes?

「This looks like the equipment that you can possess from the components from the Golgo Basilisk. It is the kind of armor that increases resistances to Poison damage, but also gives resistances to other abnormal statuses such as Petrification, for example.」

「You can get Petrified in this game, huh?」

It’s really no use to try and think about why there are Library Guild members on the front line in such a place, so I return my eyes to the figures of the wannabe Heroes who are still advancing forward.

Five players dressed in countermeasure equipment move forward steadily, and the thin Pale Horse does not show any signs of hostility towards them. However it moves steadily forward with a quiet clack of its hooves.
